Over 2000 deaths in the US again today. One our way to 3000 deaths per day.

Whoa. Sheesh. This must mean you think you have no business saying what you're about to say. Not that anyone will be certain what you're talking about: "Anyone continuing to try to aggregate all U.S. data nationwide at this point, given up to date information, models, etc., is either a) a moron, or b) a purposeful liar seeking partisan political advantage." Yeah, well, sure--I sure wouldn't attempt to "aggregate all U.S. data nationwide."
Do you understand why it hasn't hit some areas yet? The virus with will get to where you are. If you prepare before it gets there by having a transmission rate well below one because you're social distancing already, the virus won't spread in your community.

Now, I happen to think an important part of cutting the transmission rate is for those who wish to get high quality protection--respirators with HEPA filters. We should have enough PPE that we can all use it to cut the transmission rate quickly and effectively without having to go to lockdowns.
I rather doubt SCOTUS will back you up when suggest social distancing measures in response to a pandemic are an infringement of individual rights.
    That's up to each state.
You might try backing this up about states with Democratic governors.

Your state can do as it pleases now. What more do you want?

Anyone apprised of the facts reflected in the RCP site who still insists on trying to scare U.S. citizens with outsized corrupt results from a few well-known corrupt cities, or to measure the U.S. for some one size fits all draconian mitigation methods such as lockdowns, social distancing, shelter in place, masks, is either a) a moron, or b) a purposeful liar seeking partisan political advantage.

You made the above up, pulled it right out of your ass. There is no scintilla of evidence for it, just fear-porn and fear-mongering towards political intent. You aren't fooling anyone. In fact, all non-hoodoo science currently indicates that the virus has been in the U.S. near the whole flu season and far more people are infected but asymptomatic than previously known. Mounting evidence signals massive corruption in big NE cities, the ones on the verge of bankruptcy needing a convenient bailout, the ones who have TDS, the ones controlled by public unions... or people can believe those Soprano states and believe the other 40 states are undercounting. I know what I believe.

Oh so you are going to make more stuff up, masks are good in ORs and in limited immunocomprised environments, no one else. Only a FOOL would walk around outdoors wearing a mask, and 90% of indoor applications are foolish as well. More bureaucratic/MSM fearmongering junk. Guess what? Trump is going to win in a landslide rivaling 1984 (and damn, isn't that year ironic?) Tens, maybe 100 million more of U.S. citizens have been perfectly inoculated from this SCAM ever happening again. Hope it was worth it.

Because they're NOT staying home. America has a very low rate of compliance with isolation protocols. Down around 40% (or worse). It needs to be at least 80% to be effective.

    Thank you!

It feels like the segment that supports the Covidiot-in-Chief is trying to normalize genocide for partisan political gain.

If we reach 3000 deaths a day that will put us close to 500,000 by September if all pretense of preventative measures are abandoned for the benefit of the greed obsessed economy!

How anyone can countenance going down that path without any shred of remorse or empathy for those who will die and those who will be bereaved is nothing short of sociopathic IMO.

You just ruled out your source.
So, the dead people in New York are dead from something else? What?
You're the only one I've seen talking about locking down the entire country.
If the transmission rate won't sustain spread, the virus peters out. I think you're the only one around here who doesn't understand that.
We have antibody studies that establish the death rate is much higher than for the seasonal flu.
Unhinged nonsense. You have no idea who controls what.
You have your opinion, but a 60-year-old with heart disease may have concerns about how they would do if they got COVID-19. I don't think you're going to insult them out to the mall or a restaurant if the virus is circulating in their community.

What might get them out is suppressing the virus.

    I don't think this will...

Tell that to people working around the general public.
    Trumper nonsense.

You're probably right about that, but since Bill Clinton, and a few before him, they've all lied about UFO and alien matters. Trump does too.

That's not what the CDC says:

Data as of May 7, 2020

Table 1. Deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), pneumonia, and influenza reported to NCHS by week ending date, United States. Week ending 2/1/2020 to 5/2/2020.

    COVID-19 Deaths - 45,632

    Pneumonia Deaths - 71,451

That's from Feb to May! Yet you claim, obviously you got that from the MSM, that there have been 68,000 deaths in the last 30 days!

So Pneumonia has caused more deaths than Covid!

Not sure exactly what they're doing, but given what we see here...

    https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america/montana

... reopening a lot of businesses makes sense. I don't think trying their luck with a rock concert would be a good idea, but even opening schools might be okay.

    Then there's this:

    https://fromrome.info/2020/04/25/italian-senator-sgarbi-denounces-the-statistical-fraud-on-covid-19/

Vittorio Sgarbi, denounces the closure of 60% of the businesses for 25,000 COVID-19 Deaths, of which the National Institute of Health says 96.3% died NOT of COVID-19 but of other pathologies. That means only 925 have died of the virus. 24,075 have died of other things. He says false statistics are being used to terrorize the citizens of Italy and establish a dictatorship...

Vittorio Sgarbi is a member of the Forza Italia Party, from Emilia Romana. The head of his party is Berlusconi.

    And:

    https://fromrome.info/2020/04/07/dr...-basis-that-covid-19-is-causing-the-pandemic/

...the official procedure to diagnose anyone as having COVID-19 ignores any attempt to see if there is a correlation between having COVID-19 and having the symptoms for which the patient is being treated! This goes contrary to all medical practice and all scientific principles. But, such a methodology does serve promoting panic and creating what appears to be a statistical record that there is a COVID-19 pandemic and that COVID-19 is the cause, by lumping all those with symptoms of the winter flue into the same category as all those whose test shows they are positive for COVID-19!

Quit posting bs. We are at 75,891 deaths in the US as of right now from Covid 19.

Maybe you better get above the RADAR and see what's going on.

Moronic, not surprised. No, I "ruled out" OP, and thank god for a good, clear in RCP alternative to OP's slanting and sliding. Readers are free to choose what source they like, as long as it's comprehensive and not cherry-picked.

I saw that. Glad that some are bringing the truth out, but good luck seeing truth in MSM and Shillworld. Very saddened by the fraud ongoing in Italy and other viral "hotspots."

Trump is largely responsible for our ineffective response. Why can't we take notes on what South Korea did?
