    History is filled with presidential brain farts. Usually, they are flubs, misstatements of fact, getting the wrong word, saying 57 when you knew it was 50 states, that sort of thing, but this isn't a flub, this is Trump saying something which he thinks is a logical point. It's not a flub, it's not a misstatement, it's a misunderstanding of the value of testing.

    It's like saying, if a dentist does fewer xrays, there will be fewer cavities.

    No, there will be more cavities, because if you don't find them and do something about them, they will do more damage.

    Therein is the problem with Trump, he's just plain dumb, I'm talking doorknob dumb.

    There is no way around it folks, you have to admit it, there is no escaping it, the long and short of it is simply that Trump is not up to this job. Like Howard Stern said on his radio show recently, "If Trump were a true patriot, he'd step down".

    We show more cases because we're doing so much testing. Pretty simple. If we did less testing we would be able to claim lower #'s, like some other countries, instead I think we've done something like 10 million+ tests, so yeah, we're going to show a lot of cases. Not rocket science.

    These attacks are weak sause and reek of desperation. If this is all the Democrats can do, they don't stand a chance come November.

    Chanting "orange man bad" isn't going to convince Americans to vote for Democrats and a neo-communist takeover of America.

    Even without context, the quote makes perfect sense, given how theres so many people testing positive who never had any symptoms. This could be due to a number of reasons, including:
    -the virus is harmless to many folks
    -the tests are prone to false positives

    Seems like anything anyone says about this virus that isn't 'we're all gonna Fing die!' must be twisted and stretched to discrediting...

    More testing shows more cases is pretty obvious but i can see why Orange Man Bad needs yet another thread on this forum

    But the 'context' doesn't exonerate the stupidity of the statement. The statement wasn't dependent on other statements, it was dumb. \

    That is precisely why I didn't include the rest of the speech.

    Moreover, health officials say we need far more testing than we are doing We are doing 200k a day, we need what, 10x that?

    Trump also said "testing is overrated'. NO, it's vital to getting a handle on the virus.

    That's just stupid, and that attitude will result in more deaths.

    How dense does one need to be, not only to think that Trump literally means there'd be less cases, but also to try to convince others? Dense or completely full of ****, which is it?

    He's technically correct.... if you have no tests, you'd have no official cases.. Just one pantload of "unexplained" deaths in 2020.. Which only stupid people prefer....

    Trump also said "Testing is overrated", another dumb statement. Therefore, it's a veritable certainty he meant it literally. He's dumb. He's said quite a number of dumb things, actually, such as suggesting that disinfectants could be injected to kill the virus.

    But, of course, everytime Trump says something stupid, his followers backpedal like crazy with "he was being sarcastic" he was "kidding".

    When he said "Russia, if you're listening......" he wasn't kidding.

    Y'all really need to wake up and grasp the simple fact that Trump is a dumbass and a buffoon, a total embarrassement. The world is laughing at him.

    There absolutely no ****ing way this moron can make anything great, let alone a nation, he's dragging America down the toilet

    What percentage of cases are asymptomatic? If those cases were not detected....yada yada yada.....Trump is right....again.

    The whole point of testing everyone is to find out who is asymptomatic. No way to find out without testing everyone.
