    I don't know enough about the USA political system to know if this is even possible or not but I think that some of you do know the answer to this.

    I'm Canadian and I suppose this is none of my business in some ways but I am pretty sure that the majority of card carrying members of the USA Democratic party would be overjoyed if somehow OPRAH WERE TO REPLACE BIDEN... in this Presidential election?

    If I was American I would personally vote for President Trump but...... President Trump facing Oprah would be preferable to what will probably happen if the DNC continues with Biden for President?


    One of the reason why I suspect that Oprah declined to enter the race is because of a video that she did many years ago but she knew that this video would become political dynamite.
    Personally.... I think that there is a way to turn that video into at least something of a positive.

    Although I am a Canadian who leans toward the political right..... back in 2015 I tried my level best to get AboveAlpha to lead the USA Democratic Party into the 2016 election!

    I know that this will sound kind of pathetic but.......
    I consider AboveAlpha one of my top ten best friends in this lifetime
    because whoever he was in real life...... Wow..... .but AA was one astonishingly brilliant thinker and writer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Should AboveAlpha allow us to set him up for the office of POTUS as early as 2016?


    Because AboveAlpha had termed himself an "Agnostic" I felt that he would have to campaign against Bernie and Hillary to lead the Democratic Party. I didn't think that an Agnostic would have much change of being chosen to lead the G.O.P.



    Based on AA's posts would you advise him to consider becoming POTUS?

    Dennis, The quote from post #3 from AboveAlpha is from the pre-Trump era. That's before Trump took on China and renegotiated some new deals, or something. I think there were some tariffs put on China at some point. I'm lazy and unwilling to look up these facts right now, but I remember hearing this in the news, sometime during Trump's 1st term.

    By the way, Dennis, As far as the OP and poll go, I think that Opera could replace Biden right now in the Democratic party. But she wouldn't get elected by the democrat voters, but only by the vote of delegates and super delegates if they all went with Oprah instead of the election candidate. But, such a move would be highly undemocratic. It might be a huge scandal and it would be talked about for years.

    When Oprah says that old white men have to die to see a better world, she is talking about people who experienced racism in their lives and grew up with an old, insensitive culture of racism. At least that's what I think that she means.

    But Biden impresses me as something devoid of any life...... any real ethical foundation whatsoever........... like a "zombie" ....
    Biden could destroy America's political left whereas Oprah and Tulsi could at least breathe some life back into the party.........

    Yes... that is exactly what she is saying....... her statement will be twisted but there is truth in what she stated......... even Oprah has the guilt of being too positive toward President Obama partly because he is Black!

    We are all guilty of some biases!

    Personally... I think that "NAIVE" is one of the nicest possible things that we could say about President Obama!

    In my opinion if John F. Kennedy could come back somehow in 2020... he would have no choice but to go with the G.O.P...... because the Dems are so far off course!

    The poll choices are offered in an odd way that doesn't really make a lot of sense in light of the poll question, but, it is true that there is no way that ORPAH GAIL WINFREY (her real name) will be the Democrat nominee -- period.

    That said, then, to supply the 'other' answer, given a choice of either Orpah OR Biden, I'd vote for Trump, even though there's plenty I don't like about him, either....

    She is a bright woman......... she has indeed been wise to stay out of this so far!

    The seriousness of the present situation though could inspire her to change her mind!

    For the record.... my approach to how racism could be effectively addressed is not the typical approach for Christians.

    Are you suggesting that someone in a far away past life has been incarnated into Oprah Winfrey and she should enter the Presidential race? No doubt that she's a bright woman, but what political leadership has she had and why would this riot be "the one that changes her mind" versus all the other riots that have happened up to now?

    ~ I do not think most of us want Oprah to get into the dirty world politics. Many like her and enjoy her image. For the most part she has been a positive image. Stepping into the evil political arena would end that. America does not need to see another horror show.
    Seriously - she would likely be shredded apart.

    even at hiring up when she needs to do that......
    The media would not crucify her as they have attempted to do with President Trump........

    I have to admit that I like the idea of Biden being the Dem candidate........ because I feel he guarantees another four years of President Trump.... which is bad news for the Washington Swamp....... In D. C. more than ninety percent of people voted for Hillary in 2016!

    Yes....any sane person should be scared of the idea of Biden becoming President. If you ever had a hangover you would know that cream is not the only substance that will float to the top..... and Biden does seem to have ended up in such a high position due to his positive characteristics.
