No, he is contradicting doctors on a deadly virus. The idolatry of Trump might be a worse disease.

By pointing out that there's a relationship between confirmed cases and testing?

I agree. Trump's stupidity is often astounding. Those defending it? obvious fools.

I'll tell you what's far more astounding - those who continuously make mountains out of molehills regarding Trump, in a clearly emotional/dramatic fashion... because Trump triggers them that strongly and they have that little of an ability to contain themselves.

Speaking of, did you hear that Trump uttered the words 'super duper'? Can you believe that?!?! I mean WOW!

If Trump hadn't dismissed the Virus in Feb and March.

If Trump put the infrastructure in place to test and Contact tracing and be Honest with Americans

Then the economy wouldn't had to be shuttered and the Government would have Saved many $Trillions to prop up the country.

86,000 deaths saved in the USA and 33 Million Jobs Saved

A Lot cheaper than the cost of Testing .......... America would be in the Lead .......... instead of the Worst outcomes of the Pandemic

If you let it run its course, your economy will be flattened .. so will your vulnerable, and many of your healthy will be permanently compromised.

Sorry that we are "triggered" by our president showing himself as an absolute idiot on a regular basis. Unfortunately the lack of intelligence and leadership has led to an out of control pandemic in our country that will take hundreds of thousands of lives needlessly.

Are you familiar with the term 'catastrophizing'?

Catastrophizing is an irrational thought a lot of us have in believing that something is far worse than it actually is. Catastrophizing can generally can take two different forms: making a catastrophe out of a current situation, and imagining making a catastrophe out of a future situation.

And did nothing else for the next 6-7 weeks. Worse than that, he openly lied about it and dismissed it.

Given what we know now, his single act of banning travel of foreign nationals from China starting February 2nd did effectively nothing. I bet we would have done a lot better if we ramped up testing and screening as early as possible, something we lagged in behind every developed nation in the world.

You don't think more than 100,000 dead and countless more with permanent disability due to a single issue is a catastrophe?

That's not what we're actually talking about here. We're talking about Trump making a factual statement, then that comment being made into an issue that it's not.

You eliminated yourself from rational discussion uttering the words “given what we know now” and judging Trumps actions based on knowledge he noranyone else he at the time. Learn the ****ing timeline. Because if you’re going to criticize Trump, you better criticize Cuomo, Pelosi and a host of others who were treating it less serious than him.

You can't win for losing. First it was racist for Trump to put restrictions on travel, then later he didn't do enough quickly enough.

~ We had no testing. China provided test kits that were contaminated - as were other protection items. The U.S. made our own test kits.
Your dislike for Trump is fine. Blame China and WHO for the delay in information. They are responsible for this outbreak. Now we must find out why ...
~ Yes indeed... Which is why these conversations get so B-O-R-I-N-G. `

Trump's stupid statements are the proof that he is incompetent and unqualified for the job. No one is making his every dumb comment as a catastrophe. If that were the case there would be many threads about each dumb comment. But this is a political board. We can look at stupid stuff he says.

Overall, as a President, Trump is a catastrophe.

South Korea and Germany designed tests that we refused to follow. South Korea ran a million tests before the US ran 5,000.

The US Federal government under Trump prevented state health agencies and universities from developing tests.

No one was treating it less seriously than Trump. No One.

Did Pelosi or Cuomo have tools like the defense production act or the power of the federal government to create a response? Of course not. We have one President. And he failed. Miserably.

Right now there's a thread about how Trump said 'super duper', and some people in that thread are actually trying to say that Trump saying 'super duper' is something worth examining with concern or negativity.

    1. Conservatives should be banned from posting from the NYT.... it's for the big boys and girls..
    2. In that article, I see the phrases "restrict entry", "travel disruption", "bar entry by most", and "travel restrictions"

Guess what phrase I don't see??

~ That was a decision made by Department of Health and Human Services officials and the CDC. Why these agencies were slow to act is still a mystery.
