The Electoral college decides who’s going to be Pres, not you.
Money plays a big part. We couldn’t have someone like Bloomberg jumping up out of nowhere and running for prime minister.

It is rare an Elector votes contrary to their "popular vote" direction
and I don't know one instance where such behavior swung the
office of the President to another. DO YOU?
BTW Florida screwed :flagus: twice. Hayes/Tilden and Bush / Gore.
That was Florida, not the E.C.

    Meanwhile, YOUR Party Leaderships chooses
your Prime Minister choices. NOT YOU!
No Governors allowed. No Elon Musk.
Always some old guy who hasn't really lived in his district since . . . .

More correctly a Tri-County area, Palm Beach, Broward and Dade screwed up those elections really badly.

And guess which political party the leaders of that Tri-County where affiliated with at the time?

    Australia FIRST

Sell to foreign nations what they want to buy. except natural resources & land.
Stop the belief YOU NEED "them".

Elon Musk has dash, flair and elan but he is an unnerving gambler. Not the character needed to steer the ship of state.

I agree with not selling off our land and resources. I think it’s scandalous and as for letting a foreign entity have their own airport.

“It’s the rural runway that has been transformed into a multimillion dollar airfield... while Merredin locals love it, others are outraged it's owned by a state-run Chinese company......

Merredin is home to China's aviation training industry. It all began in 1995 when China Southern WA Flying College landed 260km east of Perth, buying the local airstrip from the shire.
A small WA farming town might seem a surprising choice for the major training facility of China's biggest airline, but the clear skies and open space have made it China Southern Air's most successful flying school.

Until it was suspended in September 2016.

The flying college was grounded due to a lack of 'approved personnel' by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, which is now working with the college to get it back up and running.“

    Exactly what Australia needs today.
    A leader proposing "self reliance".

And not the whimpering citizenry that has been programmed by globalist

That sounds like the U.S. where we have normalized the effeminization of men.

Elon Musk is not a good example of a confidence inspiring leader.
Stability is to be preferred over erratic flashes, thought bubbles, ignoring people who know what they are talking about, cronyism etc etc.
He isn’t a great example of a businessman come to that.

“whimpering citizenry programmed by globalists”. Not sure how to respond to that.

    anti-lockdown clashes in Melbourne
Arrests at Melbourne anti-lockdown protest -

Ten people were arrested and a police officer injured at an anti-lockdown protest in Melbourne, where demonstrators claimed coronavirus was a government-engineered conspiracy designed to control the population.

About 150 protesters rallied outside Victoria's state parliament to protest against a shutdown aimed at stemming the spread of COVID-19, while also peddling conspiracy theories about the virus.

They were demonstrating against pandemic lock down measures, vaccinations and 5g technology.
I think they were all paranoid nutcases.

Isn’t it ironic? Peter Dutton, ex QLD copper, calling the current QIL government corrupt.

A few years ago there was a big scandal about corruption in QLD.
Corrupt police and politicians. Not political as to parties.

    Yep.

The Commission of Inquiry into Possible Illegal Activities and Associated Police Misconduct (the Fitzgerald Inquiry; 1987–1989) into Queensland Police corruption was a judicial inquiry presided over by Tony Fitzgerald QC. The inquiry resulted in the resignation of the Premier (head of government), the calling of two by-elections, the jailing of three former ministers and the Police Commissioner (who also lost his knighthood). It also contributed to the end of the National Party of Australia's 32-year run as the governing political party in Queensland.

Not strictly Australian, but I saw it on YouTube while in Australia.
Andrew Cotter’s job is a virus casualty so he is keeping his commenting skills tuned up.
