Aren't you the poster who claim Fauci said something, then to prove your point, you post about it being the WHO that said it with a link, not Fauci.
It's all on the previous page of posts.

Increasingly, you will be shown the door in a lot of businesses because their customers demand it.
You may get enough virus circulating that wearing a mask may become mandatory. Then they'll fine you.
Funny thing ... we had a military draft during WW2, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam--the ultimate loss of liberty for men who were drafted.

If you're in the service and refuse to wear a mask when ordered to do so, you'll find out what your "rights" are.

My wife and I chose to ride out the pandemic in BC instead of Oregon (born, raised in California, naturalized in Canada) where there has been no lockdown. The BC government has the virus under control and people are out...

    Now, you're making stuff up.
I don't blame you for running away from the guy.

But, but, but, Trump stopped all travel from China when we only had 15 cases that would be down to zero really, really, soon!

How can a virus get here from China if all the flights are stopped?

Oh, right, it didn't come to the US from China, it came from Europe.

My god, can you please get your effing story straight?

No one knows where or when this entered the U.S. exactly.

But as it first broke out on the West Coast of America in Washington which has a heavy tie to Asia it’s a good bet Asia shares a wee bit of the blame.

All because the Trump lead government allowed Millions from infected European areas to land in nyc for months. The Fed manages international flight safety you know.

Thanks to Trumps inaction. We actually had a Trump supporter poster imply that because the virus started in China, it was OK to block China but not infected people from Europe. Nyc was hit first and hardest because of Trump lack of science education.

History revisionists is part of what is wrong with America. So you made spoof pictures of political figures you didn't like and made up captions to your own liking? That is how you taught? Liberal theology has ruined many minds full of mush. I don't doubt you propagandized students for 30 years one bit. Might have had you in a class or too, then of course found out how phony your revision was. Anyway, you got 'em off the cotton plantation and herded them into the "project shacks" where you built a "government plantation". You are still the same Democrat Party!!

NY was hit hardest because of the lab in Wuhan China. The lefties can twist facts and change words but this virus was created in China.

Yes, and we see it every day from people of the forum, mostly Trumpers.
Nope. All this stuff in online.
    Nope. (I'm not your teacher.)
You're full of it. I'm not a liberal, just someone who thinks the idiot you support is wrecking the economy. (I'm an economic historian.) Why do you think Fed Chair Powell, a Trump appointee, broke his relative silence to implore Trump and the Senate Republicans to spend more money? Millions of small businesses are dying because people aren't out and spending...
    DEC4549F-A6F9-4432-9EA1-D6905A61FAAC.jpeg

... and only the federal government has the resources to save them. Trump can't get people out and spending.

We need to get the new cases down like they have in British Columbia where my wife and I decided to ride out the pandemic (instead of Oregon).

I've never voted for a Democrat in my life. Anyway, you obviously have no idea what history is about.

Define lockdown. Why is BC reopening now if it wasn’t locked down? Do you mean no stay at home order? We didn’t do anything but close bars and restaurants etc. here. No stay at home orders. Almost all our cases are related to meat packing plants—that have to operate so people unprepared for the virus can eat at the expense of the health of others.

Oh, like saying I’m a TP hoarder? LOL

I have no need to run from him. He’s done less damage than many other Presidents. I’m not the running type anyway. I prefer to play offense when there is adversity. I’ve heard some ran from the virus, potentially spreading it between countries, but that’s just on the word of a forum member. :)

But I’m not the one in public. You are. A person can’t cover their face somewhere they aren’t physically located. That’s just silly.

I have to agree with this. Preparing ahead is not hoarding. Hoarding is triggered by SHTF situations. It's panic buying after an emergency is declared, instead of considered and gradual buying before things go pear shaped.

The fact is, you and Trump are fine with Europeans from infected areas being allowed in ? So much for blaming Nyc

There is nothing to explain because it’s you who don’t get it. . It’s about letting infected people into the US, not Chinese vs Europeans . As usual, the right wants to make this an ethnicity debate. The virus does not care who started it or who’s body it inhabits. These insane ideas make a terrible medical care.
Once it infects, the virus takes on dna markers of the host.

The right thinks all they have to do, is repeat something enough times., and it becomes fact.

    This crowd...

    Lockdown = stay-at-home.
Most of the cases in British Columbia have been in prisons, food processing plants, and skilled nursing facilities. Some were introduced from China, Iran, and the United States. Demands from the BC Premier that the federal government close the border with the U.S. were accompanied by an order that everyone coming to BC from anywhere, even other parts of Canada, would have to quarantine for two weeks. There were few exceptions--truckers, pilots, train crews. BC residents returning home were allowed to quarantine at home, but they were checked on. The penalty for breaking curfew is $750,000 and a year in jail.
Trump and the Senate Republicans, led by this jackass...

    2E1518DC-E9A9-46BC-A618-DA2C16DC316B.gif

... are wrecking millions of small businesses. They're letting big business get even bigger. Anyone who thinks the GOP cares about everyday Americans is a fool.
    Okay.
    This doesn't make sense.
I'm supposed to know you're a hermit or live in the country? You never see anyone? Are you the "Lonely American?"

Unless we get the virus under control and most people feel safe, they won't emerge from their homes to spend more than absolutely necessary.
Who cares about your motives? You're wrong.
You don't even like people taking deliveries. I guess they should stop spending so the economy will go to hell.
People with drug resistant TB can do as they please?

Perhaps you could explain the logic you use to come up with the idea I might be part of that crowd. Just because I point out you could have done more to protect others from the virus makes me a cool aid drinking cultist? That’s why I find your arguments so hollow. They are never based on anything factual or logical.

Cool. I hear so many variations based on states, countries of provinces it’s hard to be sure we are talking about the same thing.

So you took a 14 day break from public appearances?

Who isn’t letting big business get bigger? What do you think shutdowns of small businesses are doing? Very few politicians of any stripe care about constituents. The GOP is just DNC lite. It’s no secret. You don’t have to pick a side.

That’s why I don’t need to put others at risk. Because I was proactive instead of reactive.

Ummm...I’m referring to a guy that fled Oregon to another country for greater perceived safety at the risk of potentially spreading the virus.

You knew I ate road kill, hoarded TP, worship Trump, don’t wear a mask in public, and run from an old fat man, but can’t figure out I live in the country? Interesting.

I’m too busy growing your food in the spring to socialize even without a virus on the loose.

The quote is actually ""Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Your right to not wear a mask isn't an essential liberty. However, do you know what is? The right to life. Do you know what has the potential to infringe on other people's right to life? Your selfish, petty, childish, and pointless decision to not wear a mask when you go into indoor spaces shared by others. You neither understand freedom nor liberty, nor do you respect other people's freedom and liberty.

Who are the people that don't want to get the economy going? Everyone wants to get the economy going. However, some of us simply understand how economies work, and we know that a rush to re-open, without properly preparing to re-open, isn't going to do anything to get the economy going. The economy isn't in the tank because of lock down. The economy is in the tank because there is a global pandemic.

Under control. LOL. Herd immunity is the only thing that will be anything close to “control”. And many will never feel safe. We now live in a world where people’s happiness and contentment depend on something to fear and a government to promise protection from it.

Nope. I’m correct. You are putting people at risk unnecessarily. Until you stop doing so you ought not to criticize others.

I said I don’t care what people do. Go to the grocery store. Take deliveries. Go to work. Just don’t pretend your selfishness is superior to other’s selfishness. It’s not.

You are arguing both sides of the issue and contradicting yourself and I don’t think you even realize it. On one hand you believe if things are shut down completely the virus will be “controlled” and everything will be hunky dory. On the other hand you want to make many people work to serve you ensuring that such control is impossible to achieve.

The reality is, the virus isn’t going away.

We covered that weeks ago. I’m not explaining it all to you again.
