It’s an attack in credibility, and a weak one at that. If you don’t have enough black friends then they say you are racist, or disconnected from black people. If you have plenty then they accuse you of lying. It’s one of the weakest forms of attacking someone’s credibility when you can’t really beat their position.

 

Nothing you said there is at all based on any objective argument or even an informed subjective opinion. That was truly just a lot of orange man bad.

The manner in which you generalize those who disagree with you, the manner in which you purposefully misrepresent those who disagree with you, the manner in which you defend one side but attack another for the same thing (the inconsistent standards) demonstrate that you have plenty of wising up to do as well.

I'm basing my opinion that the kids were up to no good that evening (even though they did not commit the rape), on the article I linked early this morning (will link again). Also the prosecuting attorney in the case would be intimately familiar with the facts, including the NY Supreme Court documents, the testimonies of everyone involved (95 witnesses). Not some made-for-television drama with a motive for sympathy, trying to paint the kids as perfectly innocent angels.

I'm still on the side that the kids were wrongfully framed for the rape and that should never happen to anyone in America. I made that very point early when this thread went off topic to the Central Park Five case. Those teenagers should never have served 6- and 13-year jail sentences.

Sorry, if you object to my other point that being innocent of the rape does not also mean that they were perfect angel kids who did absolutely nothing wrong.

I didn't think that Trump was the right leader in 2016 and as I've mentioned before, I did not vote for him in the last election. I believe he has accomplished a lot for America in the last 3.5 years, despite his weird personality flaws and quirks. He's taken first steps to turn this country around after decades of career politicians selling us out and ripping middle-class opportunities out of the country. Biden represents a return to the same-old politician meaningless propaganda and pork legislation.

If you're satisfied with your full analysis of both candidates that this election boils down to "Not Trump", then I guess Biden is your man and he will give you the "You are black" award in exchange for your vote. We all do our own analysis and vote our conscious, every four years.

We can argue the different perspectives all night long, but what is the use. These young men were railroaded and I don't know if they were up to no good or not and neither do you. I have read all the articles, I can remember countless young black men and boys who were railroaded the same way by a Justice System that is suppose to be blind, but history has shown us that when it comes to black folks it is far from it. Anyway getting back to Trump and Biden, it's funny listening to right wingers make excuses for Trump's behavior and lies. Hey if he is your man, he is your man that is the beauty of America you are free to vote for who you like.

Not really, I just find it amazing that the folks on this forum who probably don't know 2 black people are the experts on what black folks think and do.
