That’s what you’d like everyone to believe. The right now has to use Faux News as a comparative to institutions that include every university in the world, all research has facilities, our own intel and.....you name it. It’s an impossible sell to people who are willing to read.

Exactly....on average, people eligible for Medicare through their SS pay nearly twice as much per month for their supplemental Of 20% then they do for Medicare 80% coverage. The donut hole ? That’s a contrived giveaway to drug companies. Bills are piling up on Moscow Mitch desk waiting for passage to correct it. He’s and the Trumpster are not interested. Trump PROMISED to cut drug prices. Older people do have memories. He’ll lose their votes if he can’t keep them from voting at all.

I have watched news reports when they were done by actual reporters so I know the difference between truth and propaganda machines.

The last two years I have briefly lost my prescription coverage. I was reinstated both times but was forced to look at my options. I take a number of pills every day and I found that I can actually afford all but one of them, the one for diabetes. It is also the one that carries a high copay and the only one I cannot get a generic for. Of course, if I order from a Canadian company...…… Looking at drug costs outside the US is an eye opener and there is no real reason for it except political corruption. Not fixing that cost differential will be the one failing I will attribute to Trump. Then again he pretty much has to work with the most hostile Congress I have ever seen, both sides.

Trump working with hostile Congress ? Rediculous. Drug prices reduction legislation has been passed in the house by democrats. Neither Trump nor Moscow Mitch are doing anthing with it. The gop and Trump had full control for two budgets years and a promise they would reduce drug prices....THEY DID NOTHING. It make no sense. Democrats have always been trying to reduce prices. Get real. You’re drinking the Trump coolaid. He doesn’t give a sht about you. He’s done NOTHING, NADA, NIX WITH HEALTHCARE COSTS with full control of Congress.

You’d have to be knowledgeable in science before you can tell that Trump and the GOP know wtf they are doing.

Then why are you still complaining about drug prices ? He said the virus would be gone by now. What wall.....pick out one thing he has done to help you. Get a load of things he claimed no one else knew because HE DID NOT .

The drug prices have nothing to do with the pandemic so why are you redirecting your position? Hell, we are as close to on the same page about drug pricing as we have ever been about anything and you lose your mind over Trump.

And Obamacare saved tens of thousands of lives when 90% of The middle class who lost thier job During the Bush recession , and most lost their healthcare too. The gop had no plan other then...” die early”....healthcare is too hard according to Trump. He’s an idiot. The gop and trump also had full control for two years....nothing.

The reason so many were losing their healthcare was Obama gave corporations an alternative. Without Obamacare I would still be on BCBS as the sole insurance.

That hasn't changed the drug prices or the possible solutions for it.

No you would not, you’d still be relying on Medicare. BCBS as your soul insurance for people OVER 65 is UNAFFORDABLE....

And thank goodness for it.....millions of middle class lost their healthcare during the gop lead recession...Obama care saved lives. 20 million more people are insured then before.

My BC/BS also pays toward drug costs. (And toward dental costs, too.)

So how would a secondary (that pays just 80 percent toward the negotiated price) benefit me, given that BC/BS pays 85 percent toward it?

I can assure you that I am telling the precise truth: My late wife--who is not to be confused with my current wife--left me the BC/BS as most of her annuity. And I am enormously grateful for it.

    Why?

I am trying to figure out the exact circumstances under which Medicare would pay just one dollar--or even one penny--after BC/BS had done its thing.

    You guys are delusional.
You guys are delusional. There is no plan from BCBS that anyone over 65 can pick up that cost less then Medicare and covers more. None.

Medicare is the primary, BC is secondary.

Interesting story, Liz Warren did some research on why people wind up in bankruptcy, no one had ever gone into the wilds and hunted the elusive bankruptcy court. What she found startled everyone. Most people wound up there because of extraordinary events, like severe illness. It had been previously thought that the bankrupt were morally deficient.

This is what secondary plans are suppose to do.

Thank you. Of course. You have nothing to counter, republicans never had. They aren’t interested in healthcare until it affects them. Ask Marco Rubio.
