America is NOT dealing with protests, it is dealing with Domestic Terrorism.

These riots are NOT driven by anger over the death of Floyd George. That is only the excuse; a handy trigger point- but not the cause at all.

We ARE dealing with the consequences of tolerating the expansion of liberal and progressive ideologies over the last few decades- raising children without sound family structure, without morals, solid values and strong character- The things that give children the ability to self-regulate as adults.

Those taking part in these riots do not have or exercise that ability.
Their actions are parallel to those of spoiled children, demonstrating that anything they can get away with is acceptable to them- meaning they have no real judgment, no real values, no self-respect or self-discipline. IF THEY DID HAVE THEY WOULDN'T BE THERE.

Some of those present are Active Terrorists- setting fires, looting, throwing bricks at police; reveling in destruction and damage. These are hard crimes, being committed by people you would shoot without hesitation out of fear for your life if they were attacking your home or business.

The rest of those present are Supporting Terrorists, providing the active among them a crowd to use for cover, to protect and hide them- some of them trying to get the courage to become active terrorists. Your voluntary presence in a group of terrorists make you responsible for the actions of the group. Any rational person who came thinking they were participating in a common protest over a legitimate issue would immediately disavow these actions and leave. IF you are there- you ARE one of them, and you ARE a terrorist.

These people pose great great danger to the nation and society, and because they will not regulate themselves or accept responsibility for their actions, governments must take action to regulate them- and society must support that action. The severity of it will be determined by these terrorists; it must be whatever it takes to get the job done.

Because they are physically adults and mentally act as children, the tolerance for this abuse must end quickly- because it is growing fast, and feeding on itself. The discipline must be physical control. Reason is not going to be anymore effective here than it is with a child throwing a tantrum. They will not allow it to be otherwise; because like children they will see that as having won and having license to become even less accountable- and more abusive. There is also evidence of coordination of this terrorism; it is not spontaneous- and that tells us it is serving as a weapon for even more dangerous forces, and that destroying that weapon is even more critical to our safety and future.

The sooner this necessity is accepted by government, the better. The longer it is tolerated, the worse it will get; this needs to happen right now. Society isn't making this necessary- these domestic terrorists are. IF we don't take control of this violence, it will be controlling us.

Correct in all respects. This nation saw these professionally incited riots -- complete with looting, arson, and muggings -- many times during the Obama years and every time after the law enforcement agencies were able to investigate it turned out that funded radical organizations had both funded and trained the on site radicals that made the events happen.

And sadly, these rioters have always gotten away with their terrorism.

I was in full agreement for your first two sentences. Then things got a little preachy for me.

When you set out to solve a problem, understanding the causes is a critical necessity.
If you already understand, great. If you disagree, feel free to post alternative causes.

    Better ideas welcome.

    From this mornings news:

"In Beverly Hills, Calif., shops along the storied Rodeo Drive were looted as a crowd estimated at more than 2,000 people chanted "Eat the rich!"

I'm ashamed that America's society includes such people.

Here is another viewpoint that also deserves consideration:
Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies. And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on. Race and racism is a reality that so many of us grow up learning to just deal with. But if we ever hope to move past it, it can’t just be on people of color to deal with it. It’s up to all of us—Black, white, everyone—no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out. It starts with self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different from our own. It ends with justice, compassion, and empathy that manifests in our lives and on our streets. I pray we all have the strength for that journey, just as I pray for the souls and the families of those who were taken from us.

The 'cause' is LBJ's 'Great Society' playing out in reality. Before LBJ sought to put blacks on the democrat plantation, over 75% of black children were born in wedlock with a father in the home. Now it's less than 23%.

Liberals, with their 'entitlement' (read leeching handouts to buy votes) programs along with their feminist 'I don't need a man' movement have given us what we see today on TV.

There would be no 'antifa' and 'blm' without LBJ and the feminist movement.

Then of course the illegals...with their gangs and criminals....are mayhem opportunists.

If George Floyd had been white and the cop black this story would have been buried on the back pages of newspapers and never would have made it to television and the riots would have never taken place. This is going to get a lot worse, I foresee a bloodbath before it's over. This is much worse than anything that happened in the sixties and will only end with an overwhelmingly violent counter response but who will we be after that?

One point- in order for a bad idea to take control of us, there must be a populace weak enough to accept it. When we make people dependent, weak instead of strong- they are willing to give up their freedom for empty promises. Each of us has a choice- but few have the strength to stand on their own.

I'm ashamed that the "protestors" can't understand that one cops misdeeds to not represent the 400,000 cops of the nation, and think that setting fires, vandalizing and looting is going to change anything.
In reality that has nothing to do with Floyd George and the cop; it has to do with the absolute void of character in the tens of thousands of people taking part in the riots.

You speaking for me? I didn't say that. The cop was abusive and will pay for it. That IS NOT the entire US police force or their policies.
Don't get that screwed up in your head.

Name a Democrat that is encouraging riots. As long as both sides are unwilling to listen to each other these problems will not go away.

I don't think it's so direct as to encourage riots. However promoting the idea that everything is discriminatory, that the system is responsible for all your woes and encouraging dependence and weakness are like ingredients in the formula for riots.

CNN's own spokesperson and employee the great reverend Al Sharpton. Sharpton said the rioting and looting was A-Okay but some of those businesses were black-owned, so they needed to be spared by the rioters and looters. He's literally the most racist POS in the country and CNN is happy to have him. CNN is the propaganda arm of the DNC.

We have structures in place to deal with one off incidents of the sort you mention. That cop's going to jail. Probably for a long time.

And racism is used constantly as an excuse for a double standard that erodes justice and the conditions where people can respect each other. That IS liberalism, making race an excuse card, and thereby creating injustice and resentment.
