As opposed to millions of dollars in vandalism, and now a few lives lost, all over someone who would not be dead today had he not ingested drugs (as the autopsy confirmed) and resisted reasonable direction by a trained officer...who lost it. No one argues the berserk cop will face a court jury. No police coverup will be allowed. End of "crooked cop" hysteria, until the next time. No one argues the loss of anyone's life in a protest situation. But reasonable commands are reasonable commands. It was a tragic chain of events but not all cops can be condemned by one moron in their, I repeat with emphasis, THEIR blue. He disgraced it.

This replied to someone who uses a sport figure to discuss politics. That should be pointed out to emphasize ButterBall's post --- one of only so-so unrealism --- is dead on the money about his unrealism.

This isn't rocket science. Of course it should be left up to each state. Each state's situation is different.

Hey---Cubs guy! I dare infer you know sump'in about sports, yes? Clean lake air kept your brain clear for Chicago entertainment, yes?

If I ask you about sports, you would by necessity kick my ass and take my named on statistics, history, jock si---strike that last---anything about YOUR TEAM. Not the guy down the hall, YOURS. So join me in this moment of actual research (I had coffee).....

Paraphrasing from the highly recommended basketball-reference.com site (linked below), I wrongly left off a second”g” in Gregg Popovich --- an error I regret --- and it goes on to say he is 27-36 with a team that is currently 14th in the NBA Western Conference.

    Direct quote:

    Expected W-L: 28-35 (20th of 30)

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SAS/2020.html

Hey Gregg? Instead of all that politics stuff, big guy, get tight on that job they pay you for, while you still have it.

And, if he did do what they want they would start threads accusing him of being a dictator and killing people.

Oh no, I fear they've done such calumnies already. Whipped bleating sheep --- half the younger ones fried to their basement couches rather than show up for Bernie. Ah, Bernie. The guy who wants other people's money but nobody gets to set up public housing in any one of his five estates.

Leftists! The loudest voice until it's time to pay the check. They wouldn't have this problem with that blonde guy with the outrageous comb-over, except for nine states with legalized recreational marijuana. "Vote? Yeah, man. Whuzzat....?"

Never cleared the couch to go vote in free everything forever. Bernie's bye-bye. THANK POT, AMERICA! (Think about it!)

It's a mortal sin to tear-gas a place where this nation's duly elected leader will walk to a vandalized, national-historical-monument church, only to have that "pastor" berate him for not kowtowing to the vandals. Right there where some crazy might cap him. How brave was Hussein? He'd have called from his bunker.

It's a sin to note Trump had on a ballistics vest, as would Obama, but Trump did not lack courage to get out there with so many cretins in the play. Say there, leftists: where's Minneapolis mayor been? Atlanta? Yes, even Detroit (where a 16-year-old talked them out of a fourth night of riots!). All those brave elected Democrats, do your funky chicken down that perp-walk. Guilty for hiding out so you live to bad-mouth cops.

Trump's monstrous behavior was entirely due to established Secret Service protection --- precisely the same as was (and still is) afforded Obama. Same rules apply. Monstrous! Our tax money wasted!

If and when Biden and our next President reach (ahem) Oval ecstasy, they will get the same unhappy bunch with earpieces now protecting Big Mike and her wife. THEY gassed that square. Didn't matter who they were escorting, they --- were --- coming --- through.

Never bow to bullies. This is America. It's not what we do and not what we ever will.

She would howl if he hid in the basement, as Hussein and his mutant would have done. No, mutant's wrong. I'll think of it. Chewbacca on it. Spit it out and say it when it comes to me. Dang memory.

He wants to pass off his leadership to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? That is not leadership. Let him declare a state of martial law across the country and announce that deadly force is authorized for the purpose of protecting property, federalize the national guard and command a national curfew. That would be leadership.

First, existing federal law expressly forbids U.S. military from domestic military action (save for training and normal base operations for the various services). National guard mobilization is warranted in isolated cases. Nationally it would be tyranny and a whole lot of National Guard will learn Kent State simply will not be allowed to happen again. Not with this bunch. They are organized and armed. They are terrorists and we have special units for people like that.

Very coherent argument you have here. Really supports how much the Donald is in charge and taking responsibility.

Restraint is more like it. THAT is leadership.

Restraint is not delegating command to a subordinate.

Trump is a genius.. the people who get him elected are the democrats.. he makes them push russia collusion for years, impeachment and now riots.... the silent majority don’t have to think too much to realize who are the hypocrites, real dividers who project their racism, hate and malice onto others. The media and the left are Trump’s biggest weapons, politically. It’s unreal how trump uses them, like a puppet master..

"Rev. Gini Gerbasi, an Episcopal priest in D.C., said that federal police used tear gas to expel her and other people from St. John’s Episcopal Church property to make way for President Donald Trump’s photo-op staged there on Monday evening.

“They turned holy ground into a battleground,” Gerbasi told Religion News Service."

The national curfew idea is...gulp...Dead On Arrival. Pass all the stupid laws you want. Curfews are only as strong as the will of kids who have rarely shot weapons, who must now decide to follow somebody's order to do so. By that time protestors will be on them. Self defense shall then apply. Bang. Then the fun starts.

Oh wait. It already has. Bring on the guns. Put t
Obtuse much? What do you suggest, he gets out there with a Ma Deuce in each hand and the pins to three grenades in his mouth? Maybe ride the tank that clears our own China square of protestors, to turn some maggot into a martyr? Delegating command is what the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF is legally authorized to do.
