The downfall of the West (and possibly humanity) is that it is engaging in destructive evolution. It encourages the propagation of the stupid, violent and useless genes.... in the form of welfare/gibs and discourages the propagation of intelligent, law-abiding and useful genes by encouraging the most productive/intelligent women to work instead of having children. IQ scores are dropping like a stone throughout the West.

If you do a list of countries by IQ and then do a list of countries by GDP/capita, there is a VERY powerful and undeniable correlation between those two metrics. On a global scale, the ONLY genes that are reproducing at a rate far above replacement are the ones that generate a low IQ and the ONLY genes that are reproducing at a rate far below replacement are the ones that generate a high IQ. This is a unique moment in history in that there is MASSIVE and WORLDWIDE selective pressure against intelligence in humans.

There were a few actions lacking in this entire mess.
1- Black leaders did not condemn the violence early and not strongly enough
2- gathered was a lack of self "policing" to keep the bad guys in check
3- yes as the article you posted says there was a lack of identification of and separating from the dad actors be they ANTIFACSISTAS or BOOGALOO or White Separatists.

4- Black clergy failed to get out there and strongly urge peace

The movement got a lot of sympathy but if violence returns and if the protests continue too long fatigue will set in and sympathy will be squandered.

This movement needs to transform from emotional protests to political action of Blacks Lives will never matter with certain segments of the establishment.

The American Patriots grew up from the Boston Tea Party which essentially was a riot into action. In today's world armed rebellion is not the answer political action is.

 

I've got a buddy who lived down around Churchill Downs for almost a decade... i was afraid to ever go to his place. You definitely don't want to stop anywhere. His neighbors were the exact type of neighbors you'd see in movies... most didn't work, sat on their porches, drove new Chargers with rims, bought discount meat from people on food stamps.

I mean, if we're being brutally honest here? Sometimes(leaning most of the time), I do wish the British Empire had been victorious. Or saving that, that we didn't expand our military as a result of WW2. The bomb ended up destroying whatever was left of the American Republic.

I do want to love this country, but it's like sitting over a hut. We rule over a nation that burns itself alive and ruins billions of dollars like it's nothing.

 

Sometimes I do think it would be nice to be part of the Commonwealth and I 100% agree about that us becoming a superpower all over the world was dumb.

 

As you can probably tell by my username, I don't mind so much the fact that we're a superpower, as much the fact that we squandered it. When this is all recorded(like 500 years from now), they're going to record America as the 'wasted Empire'. The Empire that had so much, yet so little. An Empire that didn't even recognize itself as an Empire.

A country too immerished in it's "racial" conflicts, to unify the country and that save for its military strength(as well as geographical advantages) that would have long since been conquered by its adversaries. We couldn't have been as ignorant as we are if we were geographically in the heart of Europe, Eurasia or the ME. We're not even geographically located in Asia, we're conveniently located across the damn ocean, with no close by threat.

We should have been a Roman-Empire like legacy, instead we're a joke. Europe laughs at us, and that was before Trump. Their complaint now is really more "Where was this before? You'd been okay being European/Chinese serfs for the last 30 years, what's with your independent streak now?"

And they know we're going to vote back serfdom anyway, which is why the early thought was "just ride Trump out". Hopefully, the coronavirus has even Liberals thinking differently about our INTL serfdom.
