You want me to take the word of someone who believes 9/11 was a conspiracy? LOL, ok.

Or you can simply not wear a mask and quit crying about businesses forcing you to be clothed and have a mask on.

Too few masks to go around....N95 masks. Now they're saying a cloth bandana is "fine". They could have said that months ago. No one I see is wearing N95's which should still probably be reserved for medical.

Translation... That was a super great point, one which I have zero ability to respond to, so bot choice B, "conspiracy theory"..... LOL..

Here's the thing. I am aware of folks in the provider world who are, as the citation that Dyad posted earlier, becoming ill. Not from WuFlu, but are contracting other ailments. I have had pleurisy and it isn't fun. So what are we to do when government both a) tells us that we have to wear masks that are likely not effective, and b) become ill with debilitating diseases because we wore them? Frankly, what is the conspiracy here? Government orders, people obey, they still get sick. Now a great conspiracy would be.... democrats... because they actually hate humanity (except for themselves of course0 were looking for ways to make the pandemic even more effective.... Of course you can clearly see that neither are conspiratorial. Oh wait... the second one was just leaked from an internal DNC oh wait... never mind... Can't let that cat out of the bag. But you get the point. A conspiracy actually has to be something that folks conspire outside of the law to do. No? As these are all legitimate uses for either legislative or executive power,, and no abuse is mentioned, it really doesn't conform to the meme of "conspiracy tonight" now does it? But thanks for so rapidly showing that limit...

They clearly need something to be upset about. I don't like wearing a mask one bit but I just deal with it like a grown ass adult. I take care of my mother (73 ys old) quite a bit so the last thing I need is to get COVID and pass it on to her. Sometimes we have to do things in life we don't enjoy...that's life.

LOL.. I don't complain, and haven't so far. So when do you suppose that you'll take on the liability question? never? That's what I'm betting.

Yes, governors have authority over those in their state. International ports of entry and transit are out of their jurisdiction i.e. FEDERAL (a.k.a incompetent Dirty Donnie territory). In addition, governors have no authority over interstate commerce, like travel.

Cuomo didn't ban folks from TX, that is a deliberate falsehood on your part.
If the governor of Tejas was so competent, why didn't he require visitors from NY to quarantine for 14 days, like Cuomo has done ?

Hmm... great question. Pharmaceutical company A says X drug is effective and has no known side effects, so Drug X is prescribed and whoopsies... it ends up killing folks. So, you sue the big pharma folks. Some say smoking causes cancer and even not smoking but being subjected to is causes cancer and death. so, you sue the cigarette manufacturers. (Even though the states continue to make bank off of the sales of said carcinogens...) But who are we kidding.... Government tells you it's safe to drink the water, and they did, in Flint. Who got sued again? Flint? Government says wear mask, will protect you from virus. You still get the virus. Who do you sue? State of __________ (fill in the blank). Simple torts here.

Lots of examples. would you like me to provide you a list?

Who stated wearing a mask is a 100% guarantee you won't get COVID? Wearing a mask helps in cutting down the chances of getting COVID.

Or "you can simply stop crying about" people calling out Fake Science.

"The Lancet paper that halted global trials of hydroxychloroquine for Covid-19 because of fears of increased deaths has been retracted after a Guardian investigation found inconsistencies in the data.

The lead author, Prof Mandeep Mehra, from the Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston, decided to ask the Lancet for the retraction because he could no longer vouch for the data’s accuracy.

Related: How were medical journals and WHO caught out over hydroxychloroquine?

The journal’s editor, Richard Horton, said he was appalled by developments. “This is a shocking example of research misconduct in the middle of a global health emergency,” he told the Guardian."

He did. In March-April. Texas' Governor is on top of things usually. Didn't count on the tens of thousands of protesters.

LOL... so much fun. As states, I'd sue the state, or the city, or the locale. Who else is there to sue? And for the record, your inability to actually apply a real number to what it was you who claimed as an efficacy just means there isn't a real number out there for you to immediately cite. Because there isn't. No one has any credible science that indicates any effectiveness at all. So, instead of admitting to science denial, you run away. So typical.

    Actually Cuomo did exactly that...

    Restricted States
Based upon Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 205, issued June 25, 2020, the following states meet the criteria for required quarantine:

    • Alabama
    • Arkansas
    • Arizona
    • California
    • Florida
    • Georgia
    • Iowa
    • Idaho
    • Louisiana
    • Mississippi
    • Nevada
    • North Carolina
    • South Carolina
    • Tennessee
    • Texas
    • Utah
This is based upon a seven day rolling average, of positive tests in excess of 10%, or number of positive cases exceeding 10 per 100,000 residents.

Oooops.... And Abbot actually did restrict incoming from NY, but allowed that to lapse. Perhaps not a good choice given where the indications of where the infections spread from in hind sight.

Thank you for demonstrating how incompetent the governor of Tejas is compared to our competent NY governor.

PS - "Quarantine" and "ban" and "restrict" have different meanings.

I didn't ask you who you would sue. Let's try this again, shall we?
I never claimed there was a certain percentage regarding effectiveness of masks. That's something you made up. How did I run away? I clearly stated...
Sorry, but you don't get to ask all the questions and not answer questions directed at you.
Just because someone didn't put a number on how effective a mask is doesn't mean they don't work in helping to prevent spreading as well as prevent getting COVID. Would you agree a mouth NOT covered has more of a chance of taking in droplets of COVID than one covered by a mask?
