He refuses to wear a mask to set a good example for his supporters.
Wearing a mask is the most effective way of stopping this virus from spread.
He knows it. But why won't he do it?
Because even if he wears one, his political opponents would still mock and attack him, and some of his supporters would be disappointed and turned off. So he decides it's better for his interests to continue defying his opponents and not wearing a mask. Even this people need mandatory mask-wearing to protect them. His calculation is clearly solely based on his own interests instead of that of the country and of the people. Now that America has the highest infection number and infection rate in the world. American people are suffering and dying. This is a crime against the American people that he has committed.

He is NOT a well-qualified president.
He IS substandard in terms of intelligence, devotion and morality.
He will lose this election and be marked one of the worst presidents in American history.
He will highly probably be endicted and enjailed after removal from office.

No, the crime against America today is the left's attempt to destroy it. The people who hate Trump are the people who want the Bar that defines the best of us to be lowered to the level of the worst of us- where they are at, because they lack the courage and pride in themselves to get up and improve themselves. They are outraged because they feel weak, yet lack the will to become strong. They blame their failure to become moral adults on the moral adults, and attack the standards that made the nation great and it's people strong, rather than work for them. They claim they are controlled- but in fact are unwilling to control themselves, thus become a pack of rabid dogs serving the people who pander to their weaknesses. They are who they are because they refuse to be more- there is no other reason, and it is a pitiful condition to be in..... yet they are the only ones who can change it.

I'm deeply ashamed that such people are Americans.

I'm sure I'm not the first to point out the irony of Repubs working against the country's interests by insisting that we re-open the economy without implementing effective protocols to minimize the virus' spread.

"Goldman’s analysts found that wearing face coverings has a significant impact on coronavirus outcomes, and they suggest that a federal mask mandate would “meaningfully” increase mask usage across the country, especially in states like Florida and Texas, where masks are not currently required.

The researchers estimate that a national mandate would increase the portion of people wearing masks by 15 percentage points, and cut the daily growth of new cases by 1.0 percentage point to 0.6%.

Reducing the spread of the virus through mask-wearing, the analysts found, could be a substitute for strict lockdown measures that would otherwise shave 5%—or $1 trillion—off the U.S. GDP."

Of all the unfathomable idiocy displayed by Capt. COVID not insisting that masks be worn might be the most egregious.

“If a face mask mandate meaningfully lowers coronavirus infections, it could be valuable not only from a public health perspective but also from an economic perspective because it could substitute for renewed lockdowns that would otherwise hit GDP,” the researchers wrote."

If you can name a politician who puts country ahead of personal interest then you have been hoodwinked.

A leader is someone who blazes his own path and makes his own decisions. That is Trump, he doesn't run with the sheep like Biden. Trump will always do as he pleases and say what he wants. That character works for Trump simply because he has excellent common sense. He drives the MSM mad as they try to control him, as they do so many other politicians. Thus Trump can do no right in the eyes of the MSM.

"White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Tuesday morning found himself in a fiery exchange on CNN as he repeatedly dodged questions regarding President Trump’s refusal to wear a mask in public.

Last week, President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence wouldn’t commit to issuing a nationwide mask mandate even after finally encouraging the public to adopt the practice. Masks are a key way to slow the spread of COVID-19 amid rising cases across the country. Trump has yet to wear a mask in public and the White House continues to defer to local officials on the matter."

Those folks must be exhausted from trying to explain Don's idiocy.

Why do you think Trump supporters will start wearing masks if only Trump would wear one?

I'm fairly confident I can speak for individualist Americans when I say: we arent looking for someone to emulate.

Safe to assume Trump is not your favorite candidate?
Is it also safe to assume if Trump wore a mask you would find a way to turn it into something offensive?
Sucking all the joy out of one's life over who sits in the WH is a terrible way to go through life.

That speaks volumes about his opponents. Why would they mock him if it's the right thing to do?

You must have forgotten Carter, the democrat, as the worst. He couldn't get re-elected to a second term as he was badly beaten by a republican B-movie cowboy.

Most of us have enough sense to realize the mask does not protect the president. It keeps him from spreading the virus to other people. However, since he is tested frequently, it is extremely unlikely that he has the virus to spread.

Personally, I believe he should wear the mask, but I do not get bent out of shape because he does not because wearing it does nothing for him.

I wear the mask when I am with people not living in my household. Whether Trump wears it does not effect me one iota.

Fact of the matter is, his political opponents - liberals, Democrats, leftists, the mainstream media, useful idiots on message boards - mock him and insult his no matter what he does.
Thus, he's going to do exactly what he wants to do, and there's nothing you can do about it.

    Saved for posterity.

This 17 year old girl with health problems died in FL recently due to Covid. This is a clear example of how Trump's leadership is leading his own followers down a path that will kill them, or in this case, their child.

A high-risk Florida teen who died from covid-19 attended a huge church party, then was given hydroxychloroquine by her parents, report says

How many more deaths of Trumpsters are needed for it to sink in that Trump is killing you?

I would like to see a link. Hydroxychloroquine requires a prescription. It could not have been given to her by her parents. Additionaly, she was high risk to start with.

So that's how you describe this girl's death, a non sequitur?

I should be used to these callous statements from Trumpsters, but to become immune to this level of stupidity is unconscionable.

But it does not say she died because of the hydroxychloroquine. Her parents probably contributed to her death because they did not get her to a hospital.

Did I say she died because of the hydroxychloroquine? Did you actually read the article, thoroughly? Where do you think her parents got the idea for it? Where did this church group get the idea of doing a "Covid Party"?

Did you miss this part from the link I provided?

Jones found Davis’ mother’s now-deleted Facebook page, which included conspiracy theories about underground governmental networks, anti-vaccine language and support for anti-mask protests. Davis’ mother also posted her frustration that doctors had refused to give her daughter hydroxychloroquine.

The implication was clearly that she died from hydroxychloroquine.

I'm probably smarter, brighter, handsomer, more successful, and have more friends, than most. Plus my feet don't stink.
