I'm not sure how they would be able to respond to situations without cars. Should their guns be taken away? Will this go anywhere:

That would be the dumbest thing I ever heard of if it were true?? Ford is in deep trouble financially as there sales are not the greatest and their stock price is $5 or $6 . They need to exploit anything that drives there sales and keeps the company and their employees jobs viable.

All of them? Two of them? How many? Why is such a click bait headline newsworthy?

I think its a ridiculous ask of the company by employees. They are, in effect, asking to be laid off. But if they feel that strongly, they should take their stand and quit. No one should produce a product that they are staunchly against if they have the courage of their convictions.

The article didn't really say, but just what percentage of employees at Ford are making this suggestion? I am sure there must be a large percentage that are more than happy to make cars for police departments. These would be the workers who realize that police brutality is a very minor issue, and that law-abiding citizens are safer with more police presence, not less. Law-abiding citizens are astronomically more likely to be affected by criminals than by police brutality.

So if ford still makes cars for law enforcement agencies, will the disgruntled employees walk off the job? Will they perhaps sabotage the assembly lines? I would suggest that if Ford doesn't comply with their wishes, then those employees need to quit. Ford can then replace them with employees who have a brain.

It wouldn't be the first time leftists insisted their companies get woke, and it drove them to go broke.

There's a lot of that going around.

That kind of reminds me of the fast food workers asking for 15/hr and then being replaced with automation. Make so many demands and you risk alot

Apparently those employees aren't too concerned with the company's stock price, currently near decade lows. Heck, who cares about numbers anyway.

I bet Toyota could make some good police cars. Toyota is more 'Made in America' than Ford is anyway, nowadays. Go for it, Ford ;)

Fine! If Ford loses the business associated with manufacturing police vehicles, I hope the FIRST Ford employees that are laid off permanently are those America-hating crudballs who pushed for Ford to stop providing cars to police departments.

Besides, I'm sure that GM or Chrysler will be happy to 'take up the slack'.... :roflol:

But you Righties don't see anything wrong with the CEO of Disney making over $65 MILLION while they pay their park workers peanuts and charge well over $200 for admission to the park.

Hey, it's not SJW to go against leftist politically correct wokeness regardless of how much damage it does to any one gigantic company or indeed the entire nation. It's looking like the Dem Party is determined to eventually make that concept into an actual law. All hail radical leftism. It's the greatest!

I'm sure Kaepernick won't take a dime more than 15 bucks an hour to shill for Disney though. You know, in solidarity with his oppressed brothers and sisters.

If they stop making police cars, fewer employees will be needed. Will they voluntarily resign?

If police cars are no longer made, what are they going to flip over and set on fire at their next protest?

It doesnt look like they thought this through.

I always thought police cars were retrofitted after production.

First of all if this is true that is just as stupid as call to really defund the police. One has to wonder how many Ford employees actually want to sink the company thereby lose their jobs. Is it 100, 12, 357, or 1 1/2. The last number representing one idiot and his halfwit brother.

The BLM gebonees are losing sympathy, as I warned them. Maybe already lost it.

I understand that there is a basic model and options can be ordered. Use to be that the cheapest stripped down model was used for police cruisers. There was once a Chevy model cheaper than the Biscayne and that was used for police cars and taxis. I am sure Ford their cheap o also. Anyone remember when Pontiac was the Firechief car? In fact Pontiac had model called Firechief. Oh fornication that would be racist today!! No wonder Pontiac is gone! LOL just joking!!!!

Caddies were used for ambulances due to their large size. OH well that is getting too deep out of subject topic.....
