    Sleep is for privileged white people, popular magazine says — so now activists call for 'rest reparations'

    The article, titled, "Black Power Naps is Addressing Systemic Racism in Sleep," reveals the Black Power Naps initiative, which alleges that African Americans typically have shorter life spans when compared to their white peers.

    Black Power Naps — created by writers Navild Acosta and Fannie Sosa — insists that black lives are shorter than white lives because blacks experience "generational fatigue" simply on the grounds that they are African American    .

    Lack of sleep? Hmm, maybe.

    When I went back to college a few years ago, a few of the students liked the idea of adding nap rooms to the campus so that tired students could take a nap. I remember taking a nap in my car every so often, between classes, when I went to college the first time, so I see that there is some merit to having a comfortable nap.

    I think this sleep room thing might be the next trend for businesses to implement a nap room for employee benefits.

    However, I don't see how taking a nap is going to make minorities seem any less "lazy."

    Ya' know, there are simply too many minorities who are self reliant, self sufficient, and self responsible and have successful lives and are partaking in the American Dream to listen to this bullsht any longer. The handful of disgruntled agitators would do well to stop with their idiocy and follow in the footsteps of the successful of their race instead of crying for even more free stuff. Seriously, too many black people are successful in America to run with this inane narrative any longer. I will fully support my minority neighbors and countrymen who are productive members of society. And those who aren't? I have no sympathy whatsoever from now on - tired of the insanity.

    We really can't expect there to be zero backlash to the proposal "All whites are racists". It's too absurd a claim, just as is the claim that "All blacks are oppressed". Not all whites agree; not all blacks agree with either/both of those new orthodoxies.

    I took a few naps in my car in college as well.

    Another thing I noticed-was that I'd always see black students hanging out at the tables, break area, cafeteria etc instead of in class.

    True story.

    I dunno - I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that maybe, just maybe, the solution would be to not stay up so late - start going to bed earlier - sorta like the rest of us.

    I mean - hmm, there was this story HERE where a one-year old was shot, among other people during a BBQ - at 11:30 PM.

    Blacks really don't have the same chances to go to sleep as everyone else?

    Perhaps we who are indefensibly guilty of whiteness should claim cultural appropriation of any group who listens to classical music who are not guilty of being a Casper.

    Of course, to make sure that the country runs on the new "peace and justice" laws, we fragile crackers can never again enjoy a song which lyrics include "popping a cap into a brotha's azz."

    I don't know. Maybe the Culture War will turn out to be okay, once they Re-Segregate us.
