Trump walks out of briefing after CNN question

I guess as per the rules, I am quoting the headline when posting this. What actually should be said is "trump goes off the deep end, quoting complete unknown doctor" "trump, as usual, quotes whatever seems to interest him, with no regards to source" "president chaos at it again" "what is WRONG with this man?!?"
Trump retweeted a video featuring a doctor in a lab coat claiming that masks don't work, and that she had treated 350 patients all of whom recovered. Trump thus tweeted a video by a complete stranger with completely unknown credentials that directly contradict his CDC and all of it's vetted doctors. What is the purpose of that, other than speading chaos?
When asked about this in his press conference he states that he knows nothing about this doctor or even her country of origin, but thought that it was a powerful video. When informed that this doctor has also claimed that vaccines are made from alien DNA, and that there is a vaccine that can make you areligious, Trump abruptly ends the conference.
Seriously, any claim that I see on the internet that fits perfectly into my beleifs, I double check. Trump is too lazy to do even that. Or maybe, as usual, truth wasn't really the point here, just continuing to spread chaos, and try to pit Americans against each other.

A vaccine against being religious would be the greatest medical advance known. Then we need one against being a Republican.

The doctors claims are twofold
1) Hydrochlorquine is 100 percent effective against Coronavius
2) masks don't work
NO ONE, even the most fervent Trump supporters, even Trump beleive that. That alone disqualifies any defense of this group. I am fully open to any discussion about Hydrochlorquine, but this 'rebuttal' is purposefully missing the point.
Funny that Trump thinks that powerful dissenting voices should be heard when it comes to contradicting his own CDC, but any other form of dissent is severely and brutally punished.

I'm ambiguous here. Rodney Dangerfield was, by most accounts I've seen, rather extensively abused by his mother. He became one of the truly Great Comedians (after being one of the truly great aluminum siding salesmen for several years)

IMO parents can't really be all that blamed for "abusing" their children as long as they don't beat and starve them. Nobody knows how to be a parent, you learn by doing and quite often it's your child who pays for your lack of knowledge then passes it on.

Which means what, in this context? My point was that the Trump family created this monster. I'm not saying he had no power to become a decent human being, just that with his upbringing, others bear great responsibility. I suggest you read the book, since I'm not really explaining it well.

 

How did you come to the conclusion that Dems singled her out? It was Trump who was touting her ideas and strength.

 

In the president's defense Trump did not abruptly end the conference "When informed that this doctor has also claimed that vaccines are made from alien DNA, and that there is a vaccine that can make you areligious". The reporter stated all of that information before Trump gave his answer. After answering the question he attempted to move on by pointing to another reporter when she rudely interrupted him attempting asking another question about what he said last week about mask. At that point he ended the conference. My impression was he had enough of unprofessionalism from the reporter. She tried to interrupt with another question when he was moving on to others.

You may not have liked his answer to her question but he gave one and was moving on. If anything that reporter ruined things for everyone else by trying to rudely ask an additional question when the president was selecting someone else.

 

One might expect a Republican who embraces the principles of Republicans who came before him, like:

10 doctors stood on the steps of the SCOTUS to express their view of HCQ as a safe treatment for COVID, one a black immigrant from Nigeria where HCQ, Zinc, etc are used to treat Malaria. Democrats focused like a laser on the black immigrant with the accent.

Any fool could look at a world map and discover a negative correlation between Malaria cases and COVID cases and might conclude that HCQ is a safe bet that may save lives until an alternative comes along. Just as Trump asked blacks in 2016: "What do you have to lose?"

 

If you are going to call it a press conference, you answer media questions. Not just five or six of them. Otherwise, it is a campaign stunt. And reporters have done this for eons - calling out questions. Trump knows this, so to pretend to be offended by rudeness is not an excuse.

 

Abuse encompasses much more than beating and/or starving your child/ren.

 

Reporters normally call out questions to get the persons attention. She had his and he answered her question. He was moving on to answer other questions but she persisted and started to ask another question. There are generally rules at press conferences on the number of question the president answers from a single reporter. I thought it was lowered from 2 to one ages ago. Regardless my main point was that the op suggested the president ended the press conference because he was "informed that this doctor has also claimed that vaccines are made from alien DNA, and that there is a vaccine that can make you areligious". I simply pointed out this is not true. That point was made before he answered the question and he was moving on with the press conference and about to take other questions before the CNN reporter persisted and wanted to ask more questions and change it from a press conference to a personal interview.

 

She tried to ask her question a second time, wording it differently. This is what Trump does when asked a question that he doesn't want to answer. He's been doing this for years, so I'm surprised you haven't noticed. He interrupts reporters before they can finish their questions, often quite rudely. He calls them "nasty" when all they are doing is repeating something that he said or tweeted and asking for clarity about it. And for years, his supporters make excuses like this for him.

He's a child. He turned tail and waddled off when it got uncomfortable.
