Thanks for having me folks! I'm a libertarian so not particularly welcomed into either camp, but fiscal conservative certainly. 24 year Navy vet, host a podcast and a YouTube channel, so enjoying my time working and talking! Hope I can add to the conversations here!

Welcome from a fellow libertarian (classical liberal, republican, individualist, etc).
If you don't want my guns or my money, we're in the same camp :)

While there may or may not be a G*d, something exists that put our existence all together, it just didn't happen by chance.

at this point, the government is printing so much money, they may as well stop collecting taxes and just print what they need as they need it

I do not know, and I doubt anyone in the commercial religion business does either, what many of them do understand is it can be very profitable to offer is a material method of allowing people to sin, as long as they go to church, accept someone into their heart and soul, drop a few bucks into the collection plate, then they are covered and get to keep their ticket to heaven for six more days, regardless of who they effed over or sinned in that time period.

They, the religious industry, use the creation of something really great, by an unknown, as a path to profit for themselves.

And it's a easy business to get into, find a building, place some pew's, add a nice looking podium with a image of the person to be taken into their souls, a PA system, maybe some video screens and get a flock to come there every Sunday.

Pass the plate and when everyone goes home or out to the afternoon church BBQ, take the collection plate toss the loot into the air and what the Lord needs it will be taken, what drops to the floor belongs to the church.

And it's all tax exempt, plus there are no regulations as to how much the operators can defer into personal perks and on top of that (pardon the pun) many offer personal consoling for sinners, which for some of the consular's can be very sexually satisfying, as history has proven.

To tell the truth, when I was younger I would have considered being in that business, I was required to go to church every Sunday, but I couldn't bury my moral compass deep enough and didn't have the ability to lie to peoples faces on a mass basis, but as the song go's, get your money for nothing and your chicks for free would have been fun.

Instead I took the road of a dull life in the communications world and do my best not to screw other people over and that attitude has paid me back royalty, conversely I have seen people around me who where hard core church goers, who had no problem with screwing over people they worked or lived with and many of them are now dead or suffering from some very nasty medical problems.

There is something out there I know exists, but do now know what it is, that equalizes life for all of us, as i stated, I have seen too many times where people I worked with who had a reputation of screwing other people over, had very bad things happen to them totally unrelated to the person they screwed over, many of them where "quite religious" and would drop a large amount of money on that collection plate, but in the end it did nothing to save them from anything.

And they all had a single thing in common, their lives went down the tubes in very painful ways, way too early or worse for some much later after suffering years of physical and mental pain before it was over with.

Now I am sure the majority of people who go to church are not major sinners, to them religion is a comfort and the church is part of the community, but mixed in there can be some very bad people to whom religion is a darn good way to make money for nothing but words.

I also believe in an afterlife and reincarnation... it could be we, the collective us, created all this - could be it's so complex we will never understand it in this lifetime

That would work for a while. But it will cause the value of money to decrease even faster. Which will make it easier/faster for me to pay off my mortgage...

Eventually we'll all be making $1000/hr, a jug of milk will cost $200, everyone with a mortgage today will be debt free and everyone who retires today will be selling their house for food money.

at the rate Trump is printing it, it's already too late, we are past the point of no return

as for prices increasing, they always have, as long as incomes go up too things keep on going until it crashes

how much was a jug of milk 100 years ago?

Thats true. Its happening now. The trick seems to be to go slow (and ostencibly to be holding the most infrastructure and resource when it innevitably collapses...) to avoid the dynamic that I would call: 'inflation shock.' Which is prolly just the hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic and Zimbabwe.

Wow, didn't know a welcome thread could degenerate like this...lol. Ok, heres me:

I believe in God, don't care what you believe, your business and none of mine.
I believe in fiscal conservatism, don't care what you believe, your business and none of mine.
I believe abortion is murder, don't care what you believe, your business and none of mine.
I would never force my beliefs on another at the point of a gun.
I would never force another to give up a liberty, or advocate for the government to do it on my behalf.
I would never advocate for government intervention in any private affair of citizens.
I believe the greatest menace facing this country is our own, unchecked government.
I believe vanilla is the best ice cream, don't care what you believe, your business and none of mine.
I believe that if we were to do business, it should be fair and equitable between both parties.
I believe that people work best when the chains of government regulation are removed from them.
I believe that government should be felt only as the barest of breath on the neck of a citizen, not as the end all be all of every decision we make.
I believe in local, limited, non-oppressive government.
I believe that every citizen should be armed, it encourages politeness.
I believe that we more closely resemble a socialistic country then a representative republic.
I believe that 'ism' is something done TO the people and not FOR the people.
Lastly, I believe that a country will always get the type of government they want, but may not want it once they have it.

If we are going to degenerate a welcome thread, THIS is how you degenerate a welcome thread. Have at it boys, plenty of subject matter there!

I "go with" facts, evidence, logic, and science … not wishful thinking, feelings, or childish fantasies about the existence of some alleged god.

There's an old saying where I come from, bond … Blind faith is for suckers...
