Yeah... he's a trespasser. They kick him out! No problem.

Exactly like you or I would if we went to DC as tourists to look around the WH and refused to leave when the tour is over.

Well... it would be the ultimate stupidity. So I can't imagine that myself. But, then again, Trump has done so many thinks I would have never imagined...

I already told you. You look it up online! It will say either that it was counted, that it was not received or that it was received but there is some problem. Usually because signatures don't match but, I presume it could be that duplicate ballots were received, for example (I assume in this case, you will also know because a cop will be knocking at your door) But you need to solve whatever issue that is before it's counted. And if you write your email and/or phone, they also let you know that way.

I have been voting by mail since it became available here in Florida. My son had a problem once. Because the signature he used when he sent the ballot was different from the one he had used to register to vote (and on his driver's license). He went to the County Office of Elections, filled in a form.. and problem solved.

Now my turn, on what basis did you categorically state that you cannot know if it was counted?

You claimed everything I said was wrong. I said you can't be sure your vote is counted. You can't prove your vote is counted.

    WTF? I just did...

As a matter of fact, I just mailed my vote for the Primaries here in Florida this morning. I expect to know that the vote was counted no later than Tuesday (accounting for the weekend). If I don't see it Wednesday, I will be filing my complaint that very day. Hasn't happened in the 16 years (I think) I have been voting by mail, though.

But I see what you're doing. Your nonsense backfired. So you're going to claim I didn't prove any of this to you just so you don't have to retract your categorical claims (of which this is only one). So good luck in your rabbit hole.... Big minus to your credibility rating...

But you do not know for sure that it is ever counted. They may claim it was counted, but you do not know absolutely for sure that it was counted.

You hope, no, you fervently pray.

But all the prayer in the world won't save you. Trump, and your parties worship of him, has destroyed the Republicans. In November get ready for a LOONG period when the answer will be "Republican? but didn't you want to WIN the election?

Getting geared up the The Trump Meltdown?

That is going to be the greatest live comedy act of all time.

Kellyanne will take one look at the Exit Polls, and by 5 PM (in the East) she will be on Faux screaming "Voter Fraud".

    Not really.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Deciphering riddles on the Internet ain't my thing.

In any event, Trump is toast.

Talking out both sides of the issue, by saying it's not so dangerous as to prevent rioters from gathering, but so dangerous a poll worker or other another voter might somehow give you COVID. This presumes the polling place is stupid enough to NOT follow "safe mask" procedures the entire time.

The scenario simply doesn't wash. Trump has forced the Dems into sticking to the announced election date, end now they're caught where Trump wants them. They cannot say opening schools or other public places is a risk if the polls are allowed to open.

When a group of House members hates Trump so thoroughly, it's actually very easy to manipulate them. Whatever he says he wants, they'll do the opposite. Just as MAGA planned.

The Washington Examiner reported that newspapers have only a small effect on turnout. This will mean the two parties will shift "ad buy" dollars from print to other media, encouraging print decline due to loss of VERY lucrative election year ads.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-are-dead-just-3-get-political-news-from-them

    Also mentioned in this article:
    https://www.journalism.org/2020/07/...al-media-are-less-engaged-less-knowledgeable/

Once newspapers die, it becomes ridiculously easy to reshape history. Orwell was right, just ahead of his time.

What are you talking about? Who said protests can't give Covid to others?

    What nonsense!

Putting people at risk when there are alternatives (going back to the topic of this thread) is criminal.

Disagree. Biden voters overwhelmingly will accept a close Trump victory. Trump voters overwhelmingly will not accept a close Trump defeat.

Ummm... every cycle a campaign employs a legal team and “poll watchers”. The difference this cycle is the largess of the respective budgets. The Trump campaign is driving those numbers and their “poll watcher” goal is unprecedented. It would be naive for the Biden campaign not to respond in kind.

Right now the only way we might have a chance to escape an extended legal battle is a Goldwater or McGovern type outcome. Trump’s never had the necessary support to pull off that off.

Hang onto your hats people this cycle is going to be a rough one. The President is already setting up scenarios to challenge the outcome.
    It’s going to be ugly.

Fair points. But if Biden loses, no matter the margin, you can expect massive push back, legal cases, recounts, loud vociferous gnashing of teeth, and media hysteria. The last time a Democrat lost a presidential election resulted in a coup spearheaded by a Special Prosecutor, numerous congressional investigations, and impeachment -- the WAPO calling for impeachment on inauguration day. Good losers they are not!

They are bad losers, and they've been losing for a long time.

I expect SCOTUS to become involved as well. Will Ruth be there?
