Minneapolis police tell residents to obey criminals and ‘be prepared’ to be robbed

This is what happens when you make law enforcement afraid to do their jobs. Now the criminals and thugs feel they can do whatever they want, and if they get arrested they can deal the race and victim card and the left will give them a pass.

What liberals are allowing to happen in their cities reminds me of what is going on 50 miles south of me in Juarez, Mexico. The crime isn't going to stop until the criminals are afraid to commit crimes, and right now they're not. This is a reflection of democrat leadership, appeasement and possibly cowardice by their politicians.

This is why democrats need to be voted out of office in the next election.


The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) told residents they should “be prepared” to hand over their phones, wallets, and purses to robbers.


The MPD has reported a 46 percent increase in carjackings and a 36 percent increase in robberies compared to this same time last year, according to WCCO.


Police in the city’s Third Precinct alone have received more than 100 reports of robberies and 20 reports of carjackings in just the last month.

On the brighter side.
There is not one round of .22, .380, 9mm, 40, or, 45acp to be found in stores and firearm training facilities are booked up through the first of the year. Carry permits are setting records and people are starting to understand there will be no cops coming to your rescue so you the individual will have to become the first line of defense.
A great lesson for slower thinking individuals who now are complaining because, "why can't I just go into a store and walk out with a gun?".

While the idea of "defunding the police" in my opinion is one of the most boneheaded ones I've ever heard (despite claims that it is "just" moving around some funds to other agencies to take care of certain milder cases - such as mental health interventions being done by mental health workers rather than cops - so that cops focus on combating real crime; well, it's not "just" that, actually, but in most cases it is also not completely abolishing the police), one would want to avoid over-hype and hyperboles on this, because I've heard the same advice expressed in the OP issued in the past by PDs in other high-crime areas, much before this issue became current. We also should realize that contrary to Trump's campaign ads, Joe Biden is NOT for "defunding the police." This is a local issue in a few cities and is probably, with one or two exceptions, not going anywhere and not going to pass, so, relax, the sky is not falling. If in your city this insanity prevails, then by all means, vote out the idiotic politicians proposing it.

 

The sky is only falling on people who deserve to have the sky fall on them.

For the rest of us, it's an entertaining experiment in the disastrous failure of progressive leadership that we're getting to watch play out in real time.

Actually that advice has been given out for over a decade that I know of. Even if you have a gun sometimes its better to not draw it and just give up the items demanded. Its all situational.

I know of this video. Frankly since he had ALSO said earlier that he was against it, I think in this video he is posturing, not to alienate the far-left, Sanders-driven wing of his party since he knows that he needs them to win. It isn't the first time a politician postures during the campaign (or else Trump would have forced the Mexican president to pay for that beautiful wall by now, right? Wink wink). Biden has always been a law-and-order guy, I don't think he is about to change. I think if he wins, once he wins and people come to him to say "will you support these measures now?" (although as you know it's not really a federal issue but rather a city and county issue) and no longer having anything to lose (he'll be a lame duck from day one as he signaled he won't be seeking re-election) he will say "sorry, no can do; once I really looked at this from the standpoint of the Oval Office and after some briefings and soul-searching, I've changed my mind on the subject."

 

I think in Minneapolis and other "defund" cities, the police will no longer come. The populace has hurt their feelings, which is a powerful thing. Not only that, but they aren't going to answer any calls in which they might get hurt, nor will they answer calls in which they might have to hurt someone. I can't blame them. Even when the people beg for police, that train has left the station; they won't get any. Oh, if they double their salaries, the police may stay on the force, but they won't answer any dangerous calls. We are in for a long and dark period.
