So you disagree with the law that permits people who damage property from getting a life sentence?

Good, because that law needs to be changed.

BTW I agree. Make them clean it up. Then make them spend twice as much time again cleaning up other graffiti.

Funny that, aint it? And prosecution of sidewalk chalk, for being used om a sidewalk.

But ALWAYS excuses criminality on the left.

I think a felony requires 1 year of lockup. They can clean the graffiti in an orange jumpsuit.

NO, a Felony Doesn't require ANY incarceration.

Where did you get that from?

Even in states which mandate 1 year for a Felony Conviction, the Judge has discretion to suspend all (or part) of the sentence.

Also, several lesser Felonies are eligible for probation ("felony probation").

Meh, they should do a year anyway. In fact, a sentence of two years with the option of one year in a road camp. There is plenty of work to be done, and that builds some obviously needed character.

Until COVID comes along and the Democrats try to sneak student loan forgiveness into the coronavirus relief stimulus package. Scumbags.

Mostly Peaceful California Black Lives Matter Leader Charged with Five Felonies, Faces 15 Years in Prison

The 20-year-old mostly peaceful California-based activist organized a mostly peaceful demonstration involving more than 300 mostly peaceful people who blocked a highway and attacked a vehicle with a 4-year-old child inside.

The San Luis Obispo DA this week filed five felony charges against mostly peaceful Arata, including four felony counts of false imprisonment, and one felony count of conspiracy.

She was also hit with three misdemeanor charges: resisting or obstructing a peace officer, inciting a mostly peaceful riot, and a mostly peaceful unlawful assembly.

Mostly peaceful protesters damaged the hood of the vehicle and smashed the rear window, causing glass to shatter on the 4-year-old, who was sitting in the back seat.

Mostly peaceful protesters also targeted at least two other vehicles upon exiting the highway, with some mostly peaceful demonstrators seen chasing down and throwing objects at one car.

The mostly peaceful protest, police said, “resulted in significant public safety risks for the protesters and community members.”

They think it's their "right" to do damage to other people, scare them, be disruptive and act like supreme jerks. They ahve absolutely no hesitation about destroying other people's property. It's all, fun and games until it turns into a felony. Now it's about attorneys and jail time. Screw them.

Most likely she will get the felonies dropped and cop a plea to misdemeanors.

    Probably a Fine and Probation.

I would be surprised if she did anything more than an small amount of incarceration (if any).

I'd be surprised if feckless democrat "leaders" did not just drop the charges

This is quite a change of opinion you have displayed between this violet felon and your view of folks who use sidewalk chalk on sidewalks...

I take them all on a Case-by-Case Basis.

I am not a fan of the "broad brush" approach.

So now you think the sidewalk chalk "offenders" will go scott free? After all, you assume multiple felonies will be dropped and that person actually did something.

They certainly aren't very respectful of the rights of others.

Thanks for the link. My thoughts. If these people don't want the time then they need to act like human beings and show some respect. The intent of people that do that kind of damage is just evil. It won't stop unless there are some kind of serious repercussions.

I learned a long time ago not to care about people that don't care about me. It's biblical. Shake the dust from our feet.

Make them clean up the mess, certainly beats making taxpayers feed, clothe and house them for the rest of their lives.Keep them outside at the location of the damage they caused, UNTIL IT IS ALL CLEANED UP.

Now we call vandals activists so we can protect them from responsibility for their actions. It makes America look bad.

Life in prison would not be justice. Murderers and pedos do less time. Community service and restitution is appropriate. They cost tax payers enough already.

Fear and apathy are the two strongest human emotions, I've noticed.

(when it comes to political issues)

Where I live we don't have much in the way of police support. It can take the police more than an hour to respond, if they are immediately available. Usually it's more like an hour and a half so we are pretty much on our own. I was in the military for 28 years. I joined in the early 70s during Vietnam, got out in 82 for a long break, went back in and retired in 2008 after a deployment to Iraq. I have never been afraid of much. Apathy is how we got here. People just ignore what is going on in the world. The media ignore or minimize the actions of anarchists. The left rationalizes their disgusting actions. It is that apathy that has created this atmosphere where these man bun wearing spoiled self absorbed narcissistic little basement dwelling pukes think they can destroy other people's property, businesses and dreams on a whim just to satisfy their disgusting need to express themselves. Personally I think a person should be permitted to shoot someone looting or causing damage to their property. It would cut back on the looting and rioting but that's me. I don't see much use in suffering stupidity of people that don't give a damn about their fellow humans.
