My opinion only counts with me and I'm not going to live a life of fear. You can do what you want with your life. What makes you think I'm worth more than anybody else?

I have no say in the matter. But I can criticize if I like, just like you criticized me for not wanting to live a life of fear.

Yes it is. In my 6 years on campus I only noticed the Kaepernicks, the Tebows must have been keeping a low profile. But we all damn sure knew that anything football program related was to be praised and given priority over every other department regardless of what it displaced in time or dollar. Also spent the 4 previous years experiencing the same damn thing at a high school that had a $9 million dollar football stadium but its comp science class doubled students up on computers. I am anti-football in education.

And has the gold beater fallen out of style? I don't know whats 'cool' anymore (thankfully).

He's one of the greatest college football coaches ever, a fine man, and a great motivator. We could all learn from him.

    No, not FOS, a POS

And speaking of feces he'd be the first to have his tight football pants all stretched out by his own waste matter if he ever found his stupid ass overmuscled body even a few miles outside of Normandy back in the day.

I do not know if Holz ever served in the military but it he did he has amnesia.
He had a good win loss record that is true. Yet that does not give him a pass when he says something really God awful stupid. Equating the deaths of thousands of Americans who died on the beaches of Normandy to playing football is down right STUPID and wrong.

Funny how some of those who like to talk big about military men's sacrifices are the same ones who go or went Chicken Schiest when their time to serve came. Holy did at least serve in the reserves unlike Donnie T, Cheney, Gingrich, Clinton and thousands of other losers

Take away football and the same players will be roaming the campuses and socializing just like any other student. Should we just shut down the campuses? That means terminating the professors and administrators which might be a good idea and give us a chance to reboot the schools and head back toward education, not indoctrination.

You were the one who lauded the "sport" of it. Own it.

Ech... much better argument for folks trying to go back to work before they become homeless than it us for football... but he is right- everything has risk, and some are not worth worrying about.

Between politics and COVID football is going to take a long lasting hit on viewership. Screw football, colleges, ESPN and the NFL and their politics. I used to watch but I wanted to be entertained, not indoctrinated. It will never be what it used to be as far as viewers and that is where the money is at.

I think some of you people are missing his point.....which really had nothing to do with invading Normandy. His point is that there are ALWAYS risks.....every single freaking day. The risks from this virus are no difference, and risks can be mitigated (not eliminated, but mitigated).
