    First, the article says that Biden’s speech was pretty much factually accurate.

    Well, I'd be VERY suspicious of the BBC doing any 'fact-checking' of any liberal political figure in the U. S. The BBC is notoriously Left-wing itself, as everyone in Great Britain has been quite well aware for several decades.... (Listen to BBC "news" reports broadcast on NPR radio in the United States sometime -- you'll spot the bias almost immediately!)

    So the fact check reveals that Biden was right about US covid numbers. I agree that deaths per capita is the better number to use. So instead of 1st, the US is actually 8th worst in the world. Still an absolutely awful record. Trump uses only two numbers deaths per tested (which is pretty irrelvant) and number of tests (which of course does not use a per capita basis). When questioned about per capita deaths the best measure by far, he litterally said "you can't do that". So pretty funny that the op finds fault in not using per capita numbers.

    As for the unemployment numbers. They are absolutely correct. 50 million americans filed for unemployment this year.

    I will concede that Biden did not give the full context of Trump's words regarding the protests.

    So in total we have 1 unempeachable fact, 1 number that could have been a bit clearer, and 1 phrase quoted without full context.
    I will put that up against Trump's speech any day.
