Heart breaking scene from Kenosha today. Kenosha is a blue city, which is where the rioting and looting tends to happen. They are also more dangerous as a baseline.

 

Turning your back is very threatening indeed

 

I think that's too gray of a statement for me personally but in this specific incident I agree with you when the guy with no weapon turns his back to you there's the chance to apprehend him

 

I read upthread that some Poster reckoned that getting shot seven times in the back at extremely close range was somehow justifiable because the Bloke failed to comply with directions given to him by Cops. Made me laff when I then recalled that there are some here who make smartarse statements about how people down here are forelock tuggers to authority. Meh. No way would we cop that crap.

 

1. Don't forget the media has an agenda and for the most part it tends to not involve waiting for full information before rocketing their version to press.
2. Police were called because Jacob Blake was waving a knife around and in conjunction with a domestic situation (not because he was roaming the countryside as a non-violent friendly fellow). While en route, dispatch informed police that Blake had an outstanding warrant in regard to his recent sexual assault and domestic abuse charges.
3. Police deployed a taser and it failed, as they are prone to do more than we'd like, despite being a great tool.
4. My research thus far, very early, is showing that Blake said he had a gun in the car and was going to go get it. He continued to brandish the knife while disregarding officer commands to drop it, which would have ended the situation PEACEFULLY, if he'd have complied with such lawful orders.
5. When he reached into the car, officers fired. Why? Because he already has one weapon and says he's getting a gun next from the location he's reaching into.

And the most important part here, it doesn't matter if you agree with an arrest or not. The court system exists for that purpose. When an LEO says to stop, you stop and put your hands were they can see it. Here is an example of what happens when you don't listen, regardless if the arrest is legit or not

His back was turned, as he entered a vehicle to possibly retrieve another weapon or flee, dont forget that key detail please. Not as though he was simply running down the street.

 

Back turned..... have you ever been in fight and been hit by a guy with his back turned?

Ever practiced mma or even wrestling for that matter. You never turn your back on someone because you cant defend your base(legs)

 

You do understand he could be grabbing any weapon from that car? It's not an MMA fight. Plenty of folks have turned their back, right before they turn around with a weapon in hand.

 

So again why not sweep his base before he gets a weapon?

After watching the video, it's clear that there was a lot of screaming and shouting going on and the victim might not have even realized that the cops behind him were actually addressing him being he was not part of the altercation. Anyway, it appeared that way to me at least from the angle of the video I saw. Will this guy even be able to recall the incident if he pulls through.

 

Presidential candidate has issued a statement without recognizing the fact that are shown in the video. That is that the thug was fleeing the police after being tazed by police. He was ignoring lawful orders by the police, and was reaching into the floorboard of the van. The police did not know if whether the thug had a weapon on the floorboard. It is standard to assume that the thug was reaching for a gun or some other weapon. That is the reason that they shot him. This is no different the the Atlanta shooting where a thug fired a taser at a police officer, or George Floyd who the officer had his knee to the back of his neck and was not constricting Floyds breathing in any way. Like the subject incident, and many more incidents, is based on a false narrative. Some of the worst is the man in North Carolina that refused to put down a gun as police told him to do. The narrative was that he was he had taken medications and was in the car reading the bible. No bible was found in the car, and like Michael Brown, the man had been in a store buying rolling paper. Another was the man in Ferguson Missouri that the family claimed that he did not have a ham sandwich and not a gun. The man shot at police with the supposed ham sandwich.

The tweet by Biden stated that the person in Wisconsin was the victim of excessive force by the police.
