I heard that Babylon Bee and The Onion are in a bidding war to buy out CNN, the true master of satire and parody. ;)

    Nope...

Nor is there a whisper of outrage for this "mostly peaceful" incident.

We need a national law that fines or inprisons commentators who distort facts or misrepresent info as inciting riots or violence.

Propaganda and lies are legal under freedom of the press. We can't have a law against "distortion of facts" by media. Which "side" gets to pick and choose which "facts" are truth/fiction? Institute a law like that and watch how each side would ramp up the distortions to further attack each other.

It's up to the news' consumer to be aware of the possibility they are being lied to, and research all the angles. Buyer beware.

Well then, prosecute for monetary recompense as slander. Either that, or make it so that these moron's have to say,"In my personal opinion" every time they mention their outright lies.

You're right. I apologize...I was way off base.
My point is this...why brag about the fact that more white guys get killed by cops than Blacks
but white guys aren't protesting. Does that make it okay??
What's the point in making such a statement??
Just makes you white guys look pretty slow...don't it?

He had no business being there. Stupid kid. I'm all for private security, I think they should have the same right to use deadly force as police, but no 17 year old should be in that situation.

Those are the folks that started the fires...the same folks who are not being heard,
Why are they not being heard? Why has nothing been done to change things....
Now you've got armed militias hanging around because they are tired of hunting deer and just making things worse.
    Why shouldn't that concern anyone?

No one is "bragging" about white men getting killed by police more than black men. The point of bringing up that fact, and that fact that not very many people of any color get killed by police, is that the entire "Police are racist killers" spiel is nothing but bogus political propaganda. If you know the facts, then you can see through the narrative.

The people, of all colors, who "look pretty slow", are the people who think that having 55 unarmed people (of all races and both sexes) killed in one year out of 325,000,000 population is some sort of major crisis. It isn't.

We might as well built a fear and stupidity platform and highly publicize every time someone gets struck by lightning. ZAP!!! Say their names! lol

We hear them loud and clear, "Defund the Police". The answer is a resounding, "No." Being told "No" doesn't mean we didn't hear the question.

There are cities where open carry of firearms is perfectly legal. Armed protesters showing up to counter-protest is legal (regardless whether it's a smart or dumb idea).

There are no cities where setting fire to other peoples' property and breaking into stores to shoplift everything is legal. That is illegal everywhere.

I'm not a fan of armed counter-protesters showing up at rallies. I'm less of a fan of Far Left extremist thugs showing up in the streets destroying things. One is a legal activity; one is an illegal activity. I'll side with legal over illegal, although I think everyone needs to just go home and stay home.

Horseshit. Cooperate, do what you're told, don't fight, don't run, and for god sake don't pull or steal a weapon, and you'll be fine. At that point, you might beat the rap, but you're not gonna beat the ride. Act like a normal human being and there is nothing to fear in the first place. Which is the REAL lesson that people, no matter their race, should take from all of this. People get arrested, right or wrong, all day every day without incident. Including thousands of black people. Only 6-10 unarmed black people are killed during any given YEAR, so it's not the pandemic that it's been made out to be. Or, as the expression goes, cooperate and graduate.

But, if people are stupid enough to think that a simple arrest is going to lead to their death, and proactively pull a weapon, they deserve what they have coming.

Are you suggesting that "shoot 'em in the leg" is a viable strategy, if only police had better aim?

You seem to think your numbers make a difference...so then how many more must die before it becomes significant to you?
How many more must die of COVID before it is significant enough for righties to wear masks?
What exactly are these magic numbers in your head that signal the time when enough is enough?
To "look pretty slow" is one thing...not moving at all is another

Death is not a game....and neither of those things warrant the death penalty.

Pelosi and her cronies are not interested in ANY suggestions or bills that originate by someone with an (R) attached to their name. (Frankly, I'm not sure that's something that should be reported in the first place.) No matter how good the idea might be, it's DOA if it's an (R) idea.

Mistakes DO happen, and I don't think anybody would argue otherwise. The goal is to minimize them to the greatest extent possible. Zero is not possible when imperfect human beings are involved. Because we're imperfect. Every last one of us.

Wrong. If and when it comes to shooting in the first place, you shoot to eliminate the threat. That means center of mass, not some lame and vain attempt to shoot extremities that is both extremely likely to fail in the first place, but even if by blind luck it does happen, is extremely likely to eliminate the threat. Don't want to get shot by cops? (Or anyone else for that matter?) Don't present yourself as a threat. Easy, peasey.

That attitude will get you drummed out of the Service so fast it will make your head spin. There is no place for that line of thinking in the United States Military.

If the cops aren't going to do their jobs (usually because politicians, typically democrat politicians, will not let them, not because they're intentionally ignoring their duties), it's a good thing that other's are willing to put their own asses on the line to see to it that it's done anyway. As long as they operate under the same ROE that applies to LEOs in the first place.

I very much doubt you've "seen that done effectively". Nobody who routinely carries a firearm as part of their employment is taught to "shoot 'em in the leg". For that matter, that includes game wardens who might end up in a situation that they're defending themselves from an endangered species. At best, whatever events you're referring to, to the extent they happened at all, were just lucky (or unlucky, depending on your perspective I suppose) cases of dumb luck. I assure you they were not intentional.

Yeah. Because he's supposed to just sit there and take being beaten on his head and torso with some huge skateboard looking thing "like a man". He has a fundamental right to defend himself. Sadly, not every State recognizes that right, hopefully one of these days the Congress or SCOTUS will step in and fix that. It would be better if it came from Congress, but as long as democrats rule the roost over there (especially a democrat named Pelosi), I don't see that happening.
