This was released back in 1970, and goes out nowadays from Antifa to all those upright citizens in Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago and other towns they've turned into burn barrels.

What even hurts more is having these snowflakes like my grand -daughter who are out in the streets with the BLM and then denying and telling me that all the chaos and looting and burning of buildings is a fabricated lie. That all us old people is to deny them of their rights to free health care, college tuition, and affordable housing. I think the right to life, liberty to live in a country to do peaceful protest and pursue her dreams was quite a lot.

~ Perhaps it's time for America to make military service mandatory ?

National service, yes. We have railroad beds in dire need of repairs. Road beds, the same. We have crumbling bridges and dams and we sure could have used it in Midland, Michigan when floods nearly wiped out Northwood University and major sections of that county.

But that's just Michigan and to be strictly fair about it those same national service workers should work solely on federal highways and interstates, leaving the state to drum up workers for their own projects. Maybe a giant statewide labor pool. The feds give workers to the states for their own use, or whatever.

The idea is to get these little snivelers off their couches and out where fresh air and hard work just MIGHT change their rotten attitudes. Who knows. They might even come to appreciate what this nation has achieved, and why we still are the best place on Earth to live.

Unfortunately if JFK were alive today and uttered his "....ask what you can do for your country." he'd be scorned and ridiculed.

Democrats forced a draft on this nation which will probably never be repeated after their botch with Vietnam. And yet it's making more sense than ever to put unemployed Americans to work on jobs that truly do matter and truly do benefit everybody and not one party over another. Getting today's kids to buy that last part may require skills even Merlin might envy.

I looked back at the thread and for several years there haven't been any 9/11 dedication posts. Looks like we are on our way to forgetting I guess.

I went to the Trump rally and met him at the gate and shook his hand and voted for him. Now he wants a gun bill limiting our rights. I work the election and in the primary I got Hillary's 3:00 AM call telling me not to report for work the day of the election. He lost a court challenge earlier in the day to stop the election on March 17th, 2020 so he had the Ohio Health Director declare the election unsafe by issuing a statewide emergency.
