Only fitting to use Al Jazeera as the source, considering CNN isn't reporting as of this moment of this historic moment. More peace in the Middle East which makes the liberals heads explode.

    https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020...ish-full-diplomatic-ties-200911171014685.html

Bahrain and Israel have agreed to establish full diplomatic relations, US President Donald Trump announced Friday, hailing the agreement as "a historic breakthrough".

ETA: Thought I'd throw in CNN's page showing that they care less of Middle East Peace.

It's amazing the peace deals with Palenstine over the years have always seemed to fail...but the ones with other Arab/Muslim nations have generally stayed...I wonder why? Oh...Palenstine is run by the Iranian back terrorist Hamas!

Iran really should be concerned now....nation after nation in the region realizes the future is not with Iran, and terror....

Trump's been playing chess over there

Also worth pointing out they relegated mention of 9/11 to a tiny 3rd column text blurb. But then when I checked this morning not a single MSM webpage featured 9/11 prominently other than Fox with most leftists ones not even mentioning it at all. I was surprised to see that Google gave a tiny "remember 911" icon at the bottom of their page. Of course its not a banner doodle as what they usually do to honor/remember things, like whenever some transgender Afro-Muslim writes a poem, and of course the icon doesn't link to anything 9/11 related because they surely don't want the younger generation learning what happened on that day.

Anyways on topic, ya this is another great step towards peace in a region that hasn't seen it since the dawn of time. Pres Trump played a huge part in making this happen and so of course progressives around the world will be doing everything they can to sabotage it.

    In retrospect...

Hamas hails Bahraini people’s support for Palestine

“The popular support of Bahrain for Palestine is not surprising, especially since they [Bahraini people] are known for their ethical positions,” added the Hamas statement.
The movement called on the Bahraini people to continue rejecting normalization with the "Zionist enemy."

    I don't get it :buggered:

Of course, many people are of the viewpoint that Bibi is making these "Peace Deals" in a cynical attempt to help Trump's re-election chances.

Still, any peace is "good peace".

They were run off their land! Why do you expect them to be peaceful?

Was Bahrain and Israel in conflict?

Yes, they were, and yes, they're peaceful.

In retrospect, since 1948, the Arab population in Israel increased by 1,500%.

And it is good for Bahrain to finally recognize, they'no conflict with Israel. Very, very good.

Thank you for being a Statesman and a peacemaker, President Trump! :applause:

The land was lost in a war...years ago, when Arab states attack Israel.

Yes, they didn't have normal relations...no embassy, no flights...etc .

More over these ties...make things harder for Iran...they are losing their terrorist grip on nations in the region.....and Israel is safer for it...and therefore the entire region.

    President of Peace

Why don't you for once give credit where its due, to President Trump?

If you do and once he's re-elected, be easier for you to say SEE! I did acknowledge Trump doing good deeds, now and then!

Whether Libs like it or not, it looks like Trump is going to get more space in future history books than their beloved Obama.
This agreement surprised me. Very impressive job! So many “best” presidents before Trump could not get it done, and yet they keep calling him absolute worst at home.

There was not, and it was a good thing. Made it a little easier for Bahrain to recognize Israel, don't you think so?

A normalizing of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the country of Israel does not come as a surprise to me. I have spent some time in Bahrain. It is definately a country of contrasts. It is a mixture of Muslim and Western style cultures. Bahrain has had ties to Portugal dating back to the 15th century, and to Great Britain dating back to the 19th century. It is the ties to Great Britain that has greatly influenced modern day Bahrain. Travel through the capital city of Manama you will see women in full Hijabs to women in western style attire. Some women even driving cars themselves. Something that is strictly taboo in other Arab nations. You can eat a lunch of Pizza and Beer, but do not get caught on the street, when the call to afternoon prayers are sounded. If you are, go sit quietly in your car, without the motor running until the prayers are open. If you are visiting Manama's Gold City, you can expect to get locked in until the prayers are over,

The island Kingdom is the Headquarters of the 5th Fleet at a base in Manama known only as the Admin Support Unit (ASU). This is a base much smaller then you would think for a fleet HQ. But it has all the things a US service member would want. Including the base liquor store. Something that would only be allowed in Bahrain. A fellow Sergeant got caught trying to smuggle a bottle of alcohol across the causeway into Saudi Arabia. It wasn't a pretty picture. He never could understand how I could smuggle 12 bottles twice a week to Dhahran Air base in Saudi Arabia.

All this aside, the fact is that Bahrain is a contrast of Arab and Western cultures. It does not surprise me that they would normalize relations with Israel. You will see more and more countries doing this as battle lines are being drawn between those countries loyal to Saudi Arabia and those loyal to Iran. If Saudi wants to win, they will need support of both the US and Israel. Especially since Iran will have the backing of both Russia and China.

Who said they had a war? They have been in conflict for decades...and never had normal relations....that's to Trump's leadership they now do...and the region is more peaceful of it.

The folks that are nervous now, is the leading state sponsor of terror...and BIden supporter....Iran
