PA: Protests erupt after police shoot knife-wielding man who charged cop in Lancaster

It's gotten to the point where the facts of an incident don't matter. The guy was charging at an officer with a knife. But they protested anyway:

 

Crazy, the medical community kills about 100,000 a year by mistake, when cops (white, black and latino) kill a comparative small handful, most of whom are attacking them in some manner and resisting arrest, riots ensue.

 

There were some protests and some damage, but nearly everyone dispersed when the body cam video was released.

Once again part of the aggravation was because the body was left uncovered on the sidewalk for several hours. Can't understand why that keeps happening.

And yes, the shooting was absolutely justified.

 

What is the purpose of rioting and burning stuff? It only makes things worse. My guess is if the original protesters can muster up a riot, then that will lead to looting and that means free TVs.

 

It's almost like these idiots will use anything as an excuse to riot....

 

Those who destroy property of any kind private or government are IDIOTS who are just raising everyone's cost of living. If it's government property then taxes go up to replace the damaged property ,if it's private property Insurance costs for everyone go up to cover the losses.

 

Well, I think everybody dispersed when the chemicals were released.

 

Trump couldn't even pay for campaign material this good, and they just keep handing him all he could ever need, and it's not costing Team Trump so much as one thin dime.

There was no rioting and it looks like an old couch was burned in the street.

 

Nah. The police did an excellent move of tear gas to move in on and arrest a few individuals causing damage. After that people were still protesting until the body cam was released.

 

Windows smashed at the police station, library and a private business.

Bricks throw at police. A police vehicle was damaged, and set on fire.

For how much longer are you going to keep denying the riotous reality? It's getting ridiculous.

Yeah, what's up with that? The violence in Ferguson could have likely been avoided had Browns body not been left in the sun for hours. Take crime scene photos and remove the body, duh.

Face it, we're dealing with ignorant unhinged lunatics who've been brainwashed by the media and the left's false narratives. Nothing would please them and everything is a good enough excuse for them to act like barbarians.

Nothing the police do will satisfy the ignorant unhinged rioters. Sort of like how some peoples' TDS is so entrenched they can't see beyond their base hatred of Trump, no matter what good he does. These rioting idiots just hate police, and law and order in general, there is no reasoning with them.

Reasonable people would have waited for investigations and full information to be released first. And if you look at these cases, going all the way back to Trayvon, and Ferguson, once all of the facts are out, voila! The police were in the right all along, almost every time.

both sides need to step back and condemn the bad, regardless if they wear a badge or not

The victim of the shooting was a white Hispanic so I am assuming most of the protestors were whit and brown people of Hispanic heritage????

 

Lancaster Pa. population demographics White 40.3%, Hispanic 38.5% , Black 14%. Based on this I would definitely think the protests were by the Hispanics which the deceased was.

 

The dead person probably had some type of severe mental problems as several of those shot to death by police have of late. We need to give police departments some more humane way of dealing with these people, rather than taking their lives.
