Brazil Actually Has the Highest Covid Deaths, Not the US

Covid in the US has been horribly mismanaged in the blue states. The US death toll is inflated because of them. If you exclude the deaths from blue states that voted for Hillary the total US deaths would be lower than Brazil's.

If you exclude states that have large Democrat cities like Georgia, Ohio, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, the US deaths would actually even be lower than India and Mexico's.

If you exclude the states with large number of Democrats, the US death toll would be fourth in the world not first, and the narrative that Trump handled Covid poorly starts to unravel.

Some of the best managed states are deeply red states. If you just compare those to the rest of the world the US is doing a phenomenal job.

That's why we call it the Trump virus. It only kills Democrats.
    I say lock him up!

COVID-19 is an equal opportunity killer. It doesn't care about politics. Technically, if you count none of the cases or deaths, the US has the best rating. In other words, you cannot exclude the numbers you don't like. to paint a different picture.

The POTUS withheld vital information from the American public. That may mean nothing to his fan club members, but it certainly means something to the hundreds of thousands of people that lost their lives to it and the countless others that are going to live with long term health problems like heart disease and other problems within the body systems.

This thread is comedy gold. The USA would lead the world and have zero cases if you suspend disbelief and create an alternate fact other then the true reality. LOL

I'm thrilled to see Trump loyalists conceding that those states are now blue states!

And a special word to Texas: Welcome to reality! We've been missing you for such a loooong time.

BTW, it's interesting to note how Trump has managed to convince his supporters that he's only "President" of the states and cities that vote for him in the elections.

Disgusting and interesting at the same time, I should say.

What stuck out to me was that you threw in North Carolina that refused to implement anything until the eve of the 4th of July holiday destined to bring liberated yankees to their beaches.

All true, except possibly for the claim that 'management' has anything to do with it. By and large, 'red' areas have far lower population density than 'blue' ones. It seems to me no acceptable level of management was ever going to meaningfully prevent the folks who pack themselves into hives from infecting eachother, while rural America is already so 'socially distant' that even Cvirus doesn't have a big impact.

And when I say 'acceptable'- even urban Americans were never going to tolerate measures like what we saw in China, for example. Nor should we.

If you exclude the states that... ...have Americans living in them the death toll would be..... ZERO!

That may have been somewhat true in the beginning when states like NY were hit hard biput it has long ceased to be a factor

If you only include the states that voted libertarian the US would have the lowest cases in the world.

Not quite true, given research finds that the poorest areas suffer more than twice as many deaths as the richest. Poverty, as always, is a killer.

Poorer people are more likely to live in crowded conditions, have underlying health problems and experience health care inequity.

It's cute that you think Florida and Texas are Blue States. Both have Republican Governors and Republican dominated State Houses.

With India having 3 times the population, I would hope the US would have fewer infections. It's really sad that the US is even close
to India's infection rate given India's poverty rates.

Making the equal opportunity killer inaccurate. Its an obvious point. A poor person has a much higher probability of death.

And all of a sudden, the left grasped the concept of "per capita".

    It's a miracle.

We've been acknowledging demographics from the beginning we have said we were 4% of the worlds population but forthe longesttime had 25% of the worlds cases and 25% of the worlds deaths. Another country India with a larger population by far than us, is now catching up to our rates of infection and deaths.

True. However, my point is that it does not discriminate based on political affiliation (as I'm sure you know).
