First, yawn, I'm familiar with your posts so not being "aligned with any political party" is essentially meaningless since you post, and no doubt think and vote, left. So "you guys" is entirely appropriate. To be fair, there are others on this forum who try to pull the same trick. It's a way of taking a side without taking responsibility. I get it, but I don't have any patience for it.

Second, the nature of how the left and right views the law and constitution means that the left, far more than the right, are the ones that "are guilty of injecting partisan viewpoints when rendering their decisions." It's the difference between someone who respects the law, the constitution, and precedent, and someone who has social concerns that need the law and constitution to be discarded to render the "correct" decision. So "you guys" will more often than not deliver partisan decisions. I just posted one in my previous comment to you, where the judge issued a decision actually violating the written law to improve the chances of her candidate winning. That is what you're offering.

Nazi Germany and Japan were burned by the Dems. Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya were the Republicans though. Not sure about Serbia.

You missed the having it both ways part...

But that's to be expected, isn't it.

I forgot about that, The 1st is in some ways more important than the SC, and they held up dozens of nominations to the 1st until they could appoint their kooks.

I feel that the country is about to take a turn which will change our republic forever. I wish I felt as confident as you in the justice system but justice is only as just as those doling it out. It's not about justice or the law but about how those wielding it can twist it to work to their benefit. It's a game with teams. Thus the reason why both parties try to pack the courts. What we'll be witnessing in the coming weeks is one team picking a player for their team, not a justice for the country.

So you are now a fan of the Biden Rule?

Look, sorry Biden put a lot of stuff out there over his 50 years in Washington....his crime bill for example, that was racist and had horrible results....the Biden Rule is yet another example of that....after what happened in 2016 there was backlash...McConnell responded by doing away with it.

Why are you complaining about McConnell doing away with a Rule you opposed?

Why is a crime bill racist? Does it have different standards for different races? Does is magically force certain people to break the law? People that commit crimes should be punished, no matter what the moronic liberal media says.

An interesting point is how will this affect the election? Will it bring out the vote for the DNC or the GOP? Will it cause anti-Trump Republicans to rally around a common cause?

I'm not sure it will cause the anti trump republicans to rally around a common cause for several reasons. Republicans have already put quite a bit of judges on the bench during this Administration. And those anti trumpers are anti because they fear the country is going towards an authoritarian rule. Adding one more judge to push it over the cliff isn't going to make them feel warm and fuzzy.

Yes, and McConnell could have a confirmation vote in less than three weeks.
I can hear the hot buttered popping already. ;-)

In March, immunization specialists were predicting that Wuhan Flu could kill millions of Americans, so Trump saved at least a million lives. You're welcome.

And while we're on the topic of murdering Americans, Governor Cuomo killed more New Yorkers than Al Qaeda.

I'm sure there are some. That's why it's so important to have a balance.

It'll certainly rally the religious right around Trump, as well as mobilize Republicans and Conservatives to go out and vote especially if sleepy Joe' got balls to announce his super-Liberal pic for the SCOTUS. Let's face it, it's all over for the Harris Administration - the only perceived leverage they had was the Chinese virus, and no one is gonna talk about it no more.

    Poor, confused Joe :D

Judging from the current situation on the streets I think their hold is slipping. There is a difference between demonstrations and insurrection. The right to peacefully demonstrate has nothing in common with what is taking place today. I agree with you that their primary job is to give clarity to the law and interpret in a way that guides us to peaceful resolution of issues. I don't think they are successful in that regard.

More unsubstantiated/disproven and unsourced nonsense from the Leftist fever swamps.

During a lockdown, Nancy rousted a citizen out to do her hair, got caught, and then put the blame on the citizen. It's just one example of how the Democrats have operated as little tyrants during this pandemic.

No. But I am laughing at your histrionics.

People lie all the time, for example: If you claim to be anti-fascist, such as antifa and then act like a fascist, you're a fascist. If you claim to be protesting for social justice and then burn down the neighborhood as BLM and antifa did, you're rioting.

So we get many examples of Democrat insanity such as this:

The wholly unserious governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, professed to be deeply disturbed by a protest against her arbitrary lockdown rules, even though it largely consisted of people driving around the state capitol in their cars. She spun nightmare scenarios of a spike in cases. That didn’t stop her from joining an anti-police-brutality march with hundreds of nonsocially distanced people, explaining that it was “an important moment to show my support.”

First off, to be fair and honest, this brought it on themselves goes both ways. Harry Reid was the first to take the Senate down the slippery slope (first to invoke the Nuclear option) and they have not stopped sliding since (on both sides).

But once the Dems destroy the Filibuster completely, which they will have to do, there is no coming back from that! It will be a free-for-all until the end of this nation; which will be sooner than we all think. When the GOP takes control of both chambers the next time, they will either reduce the court or increase it to whatever fits their agenda. Back and forth we go! And "We the people" suffer the results!
