Well yeah...you all wanted it gone...and even RBG stepped in in 2016 and said the rule was wrong.

This is like the third time you all have flip flopped on the issue...it's getting silly.....are you all for the rule now? What's changed?

Biden and Schumer tried to push Obama's nominee through in 2016.

So it was a rule when republicans wanted it and gone when they don’t. Childish games and childish arguments.

it was a rule when the Dems wanted it, and went away at their request. The childish games are the Dems whining and flip flopping back and further over it.

Do you now support the Biden Rule? If so why didn't you in 2016?

The compromise was getting rid of the Dems rule after they requested it be done away with. You don't get to come back now, and say...oh no we want it back because it benefits you

Moreover, there are drastic differances between when Biden created it and Chucky reaffirmed it.....then the opposite party was in the White House and Senate...today that's not the case....in fact the people spoke and even expanded the GOP majority in the Senate in 2018

There was no rule, it never came up until 2016. Then it was a rule, until it became inconvenient. If Biden wins and is in the same position in 2024 with a gop senate, it’ll be back.

It was a rule...just because the rule never had to be used by Biden and Chucky doesn't mean they didn't create it and it existed.

That's like saying the rules against drinking and driving don't exist because I don't drink. The rules certainly still there.

Yes the rule became inconvenient for hte Dems in 2016 and they pissed and moaned so the GOP was kind enough to get rid of it for them.....now it's inconvenient and the Dems are repeating their same lines from 92 and 07...childish, childish games.

Moreover, members of the court actually spoke about the rule in 2016...RGB herself said an appointment should be made and there was no one year cutoff as the Biden Rule suggested. So, we have her authority on this now too.

    BS
“If there’s a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination.”

And if she’d have been listened to in 2016 that would be a consistent position now

Cool, that was when the rule was still in existance....Graham got overruled by the Senate Leader and Mitch did a solid for the Dems and removed it last year

Well, it never really was a rule until Demokrats wanted it and then they didn't want it and now they want it again.

You see, Demokrat "rules" are for Republicans, not Demokrats.

Maybe the dems should of went to her in 92 and 2007 before they created it and reaffirmed it...they didn't...to bad.

You don't get to create rules for yourself, reaffirm those rules, then whine when the rules work against you, only to whine again when the otherside is kind enough to listen to your complaints and remove it.

Lol of course he did, his guy won so why would he want the rule?
Not that you’ll be here, but do you honestly think if this happens again with a dem president that the republicans won’t again block it?

The “rule“ has come up twice, under the same majority leader. Yet with 2 different outcomes.

I know now you all don't want the McConnell Rule that ended the Biden Rule...but sorry...you all certainly did, and it caused a lot of grief a few years ago.

There was no “Biden rule” until 2016.

you can ignore the video evidence all you want....but it's been provided.

I suppose at that point you can call it the Biden-Chucky Rule since he reaffirmed it in 2007
