What you think doesn't even remotely correlate with the facts.

On June 23, 2020, Officer Brett Hankison was fired for his actions during the raid. In his termination letter, his chief says Hankison's conduct "displayed an extreme indifference to the value of human life" and is a "shock to the conscience" as he "wantonly and blindly fired ten (10) rounds".

Ahhhh............"Walker, a licensed firearm carrier, shot first, striking a police officer in the leg." Perhaps you should read your own cite.

And if someone kicks in your door, what are you going to do???
Then they shot your wife. I guess I'd be ok with that.

The claim was the police shot first. Shots fired at police what are they going to do?

They fired at the police first, and paid the price.

Sucks, but is what it is.

The police should walk, and the city should protect itself from the violent terrorists coming when/if they do walk.

The laws that put the cops in that position are the issue. The war on drugs gives criminals a monopoly and puts people who have not harmed anyone in prison. If someone wants to do drugs, there is no need for unwanted government involvement. If there is no victim, there should be no crime.

He fired at what he thought was a home invader, i.e., in self defense. You said he thought he was a criminal. What is the basis for this statement?

I'm pretty sure half a dozen cops yelling POLICE might have been part of the no knock *SMH* And then there are those weird uniforms they all wear, right!

This really seems like a tough. Fact the drug dealer was running stuff through that apartment, one would think Breana would know but I guess it's possible she didn't but unlikely. Then you have the no knock warrants, they are designed to protect police from being shot and evidence being destroyed. They are effective in some cases but are they worth it and did this judge screw up in this particular case? I can't hardly blame the cops after one officer was down from being shot, that's a scary moment for the cops and for the guy that shot first but I can't see the criminality here. What I know for sure is that if they weren't allowing drugs to be delivered and picked up there Breana would be alive today and that situation would have never happened. The left only cares about the cops, I think most of America cares about the cause and the result which is tragic but could've been avoided by the above and most likely by not shooting at the cops when they walked in. I'd bet alot the guy thought it was a rival drug dealer and immediately started shooting.

Tell it to the DEMOCRATIC mayor of Louisville. We have said this over and over again. YOU own the reins of power, not conservatives (who are attempting to move as far away as possible from progressives). This is 100% on Democrats and it looks silly for you to blame the people with NO political power in the community.

That is the unfortunate truth of it.

Taylor's boyfriend opened fire on the police, and they fired back! Boyfriend had no regard for her safety, and the police were defending themselves after being shot at. She was the unfortunate victim who got caught in the middle....

The 'takeaway': the kind of people an individual surrounds himself/herself with can be VERY dangerous to that person's health....

I hope you’re never faced with arm men coming in unidentified. But if you do and shoot them, I’ll be on your side.

Oh, I probably was around -- just as a different human being. I'm one of these weird Christians who actually believes in ongoing incarnation until the 'soul' is reunited in God through the Christ of God. But, that's enough religion... I'm not (NOT) an evangelist!

It has always been a violent world... and I wish that it weren't. The old saying is, "Raise one hand in the air to wish with, and put the other hand underneath your naked ass -- and see which one gets filled first!" Humanity goes right on making the same mistakes, over and over, and that's part of why we never get beyond them....

The tree of liberty must be refreshed with blood from time-to-time. We are way overdue for a constitutional convention. People are mad. I'm not condoning the violence, in any way. People are mad, though.

I live in a country where a cop can bust down my door and shoot me in the middle of the night. I don't want to live in that world. I would prefer to be able to distinguish between cop and robber.

No knock warrants are as evil as civil forfeiture. Both must be destroyed.

Yep, one of the stickup boys favorite tactics. Pose as a police and then rob you. Happens more often than you would believe. And yes with those weird uniforms on.

I don't agree that we should have corrupted the constitution and lowered the bar in regards to warrants..No knock entries was born of stupidity and excess. We lived without them for most of our history. And didn't kill citizens over contraband.

The destruction of freedom over this war on drugs is unforgivable!

It is a bridge too far .

Let's say you are a criminal, and the police politely knock on you door and say they are there to raid your house....

How many cops are you willing to have murdered to save the life of one outlier tragic situation and accident?

    Oh God.

Are you trying to apply personal responsibilty? That won't go well with the left.

These "cops kill first, assess later," incidents are becoming far too frequent for my liking.

    No knock warrants are evil.

You present a false dichotomy, i.e., the police execute a no-knock raid or politely knock on the door. There are other options including taking a position outside a residence and the police announcing their presence via phone, megaphone, etc.

Are you aware that many of these no-knock raids are conducted when there is no risk whatsoever to the police. Here is an example that happened in the County I live in. This is a case where a dynamic SWAT entry was executed by the police because a man had pictures printed at a Walmart that included a photo of a naked 35 year old woman.

Justifying police state tactics does not go well with anyone who believes in the Constitution or in anyway is a libertarian.

Here is an example of how no-knock raids are used to execute conservatives based on red flag laws. This incident occurred back in March and yet the police have not released body camera footage of the incident.
