Random side note. Did you know that Bill Gates is funding the release of genetically modified mosquitos? The goal is for the lab-raised mosquitos to kill off the native mosquito population and help lower rates of yellow fever and Zika virus. Ambitious, but also a scary concept to many people. Relevant side note. Melinda Gates said in her 60 minutes interview that Africans were having too many children and its up to her to stop it. Millions of people have pointed out her flawed logic, with the most salient point being that her funding could go into increasing food production instead of pushing abortion on the African people. She's only speaks so flippantly when she's with mainstream media anchors who will never challenge her on her statements. Its disgusting how easily our media prostitutes itself for a story.
So were a lot of famous people including Trump. Just because you know a secretly bad person doesn't mean you are one yourself. Common core isn't a horrible thing and the lessons are ok. And even if he is wrong, he has his opinions and activism like everyone else. It was politicians who passed common core not him. Its not a bad idea. If I have a company, I want to use employees who have been vaccinated and won't spread a disease to patients. Its kind of like a background check. You need to elaborate here. Where he is probably coming from is that fighting China does more harm than actual good. So is everybody else. fossil fuels are an addition, and we can be addicted to it and admit that there is a problem. Some people hate some people in the public eye because of their own psychological and emotional problems. They never really know anything about their target but once they've decided they hate them, they'll blindly accept any negative claim made against them and blindly deny or ignore anything positive. It isn't really much different to the people who venerate some people in the public eye, though it's probably more harmful to all involved. It's all kind of sad really.
Africa would benefit from women not being treated as breeders, and while I do not hate Bill Gates, I do think him spending a billion dollars reinventing the outhouse is a bit out of touch with reality.
