Giuliani gave Hunter Biden story to New York Post because 'nobody else would take it' at face value

The first article "was written mostly by a staff reporter who refused to put his name on it," the Times reported Sunday night, citing two Post employees. "Bruce Golding, a reporter at the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid since 2007, did not allow his byline to be used because he had concerns over the article's credibility." The article was instead attributed to a deputy politics editor who "had little to do with the reporting or writing of" it and "learned that her byline was on the story only after it was published," and a recent hire from Fox News and Sean Hannity's show, the Times reports.
No other news organization has been given access to the purported hard drive copy, and the FBI is investigating whether the documents are part of a Russian disinformation campaign against Joe Biden's campaign, NBC News and CNN report.
"It's not something that meets my journalistic standards," one Post reporter told New York Magazine. Another Post reporter called it "very flimsy," adding that the article "just makes you cringe and roll your eyes, and it's hard to stomach, but at the same time we kind of know that you're signing up for stuff like that. ... It's disappointing. It sucks to, like, work for, like, a propaganda outlet."

Even a person that works at The Post is saying " that it doesn't meet "journalistic standards".

Is it really any wonder that no reputable media outlet is giving this UNVERIFIED "Story" any oxygen?

 

WOW what a bombshell....so the NY Times, Washington Post etc simply wouldn't take the massive bombshell of a story because it was negative to Quid Pro Joe

They justified doing so by asserting that the computer’s origin was unverified, which meant the allegations are “rumors.” We know now that the computer is connected to Hunter – and that there’s corroborating information coming from other sources.

You always know you’re over the target when the other side panics. In this case, the same outlets that had gleefully promoted every crackpot claim against the president, from the Steele Dossier to the Ukraine hoax, hysterically demanded perfect evidentiary purity for the Biden hard drive.

Twitter blacked-out any references to the Post’s reports and continues to lock accounts – including the Post’s account – that refuse to delete links to the Post articles. Facebook slow-walked the story, allowing it minimal circulation to ensure almost no one saw it.

Traditional media, which should report the news -- and the allegations are news-worthy -- instead worked hard to discredit the Post’s reporting. An example is the New York Times, which used anonymous sources to say that Post staff reporters were so worried about the computer’s provenance that they refused to have their name on the Hunter Biden story.

So the same media outlets who won't ask Biden a tough question and buried the Harvey Weinstien story refused to take a story that is negative towards Biden. Is anyone really surprised by this?
