Watching the Sunday morning political gab shows, I caught one of the panelist (Rich Lowry of the National Review) state that if Biden wins the election he'll be nullified if the GOP holds the senate. Gee, I remember when Turtle (McConnell) stated that the GOP's primary mission was to make Obama a one term President.....they failed, but at the same time stymied the country's recovery from the near depression caused by they previous 8 years under the Shrub (aka G.W. Bush). So if what Lowry says is true....Biden will see the fruition of Trump's policies and be blamed by the GOP senate for not correcting them as they obstruct and then filibuster. Unreal.
And Democrats on day 1 called Trump a Russian spy and have been trying to impeach him. Waaaaaaah, cry more. Biden is winning in a landslide. Remember??? The MSM told us so. Even Pelosi said so.
Your post has a real chance of become true. The worst possible outcome of this election would be for Republicans to hold control on both the Presidency & the Senate. Then, we're screwed. The next worst possible outcome would be for Biden to win the Presidency, with Pelosi keeping the House, & McConnell holding the Senate. Absolutely nothing of value would ever get passed. Even if Trump got reelected, we would be better off than now if Democrats won control of the Senate. Trump would most likely work with Democrats better than now, particularly if he sees something he can get out of it personally.
No Bush did not cause the housing market crash. The bubble started under Reagan. But the real key player was Alan Greenspan who served under every president starting with Reagan. He kept a very loose monetary policy which he admitted to after the crash. He said everyone was having too much fun and he didn't want to ruin the party, in so many words. Alan Greenspan KBE In office August 11, 1987 – January 31, 2006 President Ronald Reagan George H. W. Bush Bill Clinton George W. Bush
I doubt republicans are going to win this time around, the fake news has been to strong and to many are easily manipulated by it. Nonetheless, Republicans winning all around would be the best thing for the country.
Biden, if he wins, will certainly be regarded as an illegitimate president.... Trump after all won fair and square in 2016, Biden's victory will be wholly attributed to the media's suppression of information and censorship, their refusal to vet the candidate and active coordinated efforts to prevent any attempt of vetting him and cover up potential illegal activity. Besides being in-kind contribution in the amounts of billions of dollars, the media's censorship is a Fascist/Communist's favorite tactic, not acceptable in the US.
The housing crash was started by Carter, and made worse by Clinton (See Community Re-Investment Act). Bush Jr. wanted to rein it in, but was stopped by congressional Democrats like Barney Frank, who said he wanted to 'roll the dice' a little more.
If he were truly nutz, I could excuse his slavish devotion to the neocon cause. But he's anything but stupid, so I can't.
And it was pointless. And funny. They didn’t even impeach him over anything they accused him of. That’s how pathetic they are. Republicans would have been called racist for pulling that **** on Obama.
True, but Greenspan could have been replaced at anytime. He had the blessing of the GOP agenda (privatization). Just saying.
Yeah...EXCEPT: The GOP WON'T hold the senate. (Rich Lowry of the National Review) state that if Biden wins the election he'll be nullified if the GOP holds the senate.
Stop repeating this lie.....NOTHING in the CRA stated that banks MUST make bad loans.....the CRA stipulated that the SAME loans that banks made to white folk ACROSS THE BOARD MUST BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO MINORITIES. It was the INDIVIDUAL decisions of the banks to pad their packages with bad loans and then sell them on the market. If you can prove otherwise, do it with FACTS and not your repeated revisionist opinion.
I look directly at statistics, Andy he primary source that’s reported on to discern the truth from what’s reported
I have to disagree with you on your assumption that Democrats were to blame and not the Republicans. The money came from monetary policy and not fiscal policy. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/oct/28/alan-greenspan-housing-market-crisis Greenspan had all the information that he could have possibly needed to spot the housing bubble and to know its collapse would be really bad news for the economy. More than anyone else in the country he was in a position to stop the growth of the bubble.
Greenspan had the blessing of 4 administrations starting with Reagan. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/oct/28/alan-greenspan-housing-market-crisis Alan Greenspan will go down in history as the person most responsible for the enormous economic damage caused by the housing bubble and the subsequent collapse of the market. The United States is still down almost 9m jobs from its trend path. We are losing close to $1tn a year in potential output, with cumulative losses to date approaching $5tn.
