    This man speaks the truth.

Trump has a lawsuit in almost every state, and the gist of every suit is to restrict the vote in some way.

You Repubs think this is the winning message for your party?

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/11/01/ben-ginsberg-voter-suppression-republicans/

President Trump has failed the test of leadership. His bid for reelection is foundering. And his only solution has been to launch an all-out, multimillion-dollar effort to disenfranchise voters — first by seeking to block state laws to ease voting during the pandemic, and now, in the final stages of the campaign, by challenging the ballots of individual voters unlikely to support him

This is as un-American as it gets. It returns the Republican Party to the bad old days of “voter suppression” that landed it under a court order to stop such tactics — an order lifted before this election. It puts the party on the wrong side of demographic changes in this country that threaten to make the GOP a permanent minority.

These are painful words for me to write. I spent four decades in the Republican trenches, representing GOP presidential and congressional campaigns, working on Election Day operations, recounts, redistricting and other issues, including trying to lift the consent decree.

The truth is that over all those years Republicans found only isolated incidents of fraud. Proof of systematic fraud has become the Loch Ness Monster of the Republican Party. People have spent a lot of time looking for it, but it doesn’t exist.

Trump has enlisted a compliant Republican Party in this shameful effort. The Trump campaign and Republican entities engaged in more than 40 voting and ballot court cases around the country this year. In exactly none — zero — are they trying to make it easier for citizens to vote. In many, they are seeking to erect barriers.

My fellow Republicans, look what we’ve become. It is we who must fix this. Trump should not be reelected. Vote, but not for him.

Trump is a pathological liar. How sad it is to watch people vote for a guy they know is lying to them.

I was an independent all my life till this year and I'm now a registered Democrat. Pretty funny for a guy 86 years old.

Can't read the RINO article without a subscription, which will never happen. If Trump wins tomorrow will he be destroying his party? I don't recall Bush, McCain or Romney get tens of thousands show up at the drop of a hat chanting "We love you!"

That's what happens with cults. A very vocal and demonstrative bunch of followers. Mao could do the same thing. So could the Beatles.

I too was an Independent, or what in CA is labeled "undeclared", until exactly 4 years ago today. Trump's win motivated me to choose a side, because for all my belief and talk in not being with either party, I was also not participating, because over my lifetime (58), the only 3rd party to have had any real momentum never came to be. I'm referring to Perot's party in the 90s.

Seems every generation wants more choices, but it never materializes the right candidate at the right time that turns enough heads to make it a reality. So either pick a candidate or create one.

The Revolution in the Republican Party is happening because the money yoke, wielded for two decades by the last remaining Rockefeller Republicans and the Neocons has been broken. The tea party is finally ascendent and we will no longer tolerate Neocon war mongers and moneyed surrender monkey hypocrites, who are always willing to vote conservative whenever it doesn't actually matter. You may by theft and cheating, beat Trump but I doubt it. Your Fascist dreams will have to wait another four years.

All 9 Republicans in Dixville Notch, NH voted against the wannabe Fascist-in-Chief.

If that is a bellwether then no amount of lawsuits are going to change the FACT that not even life long Republicans want him around any longer.

Post facto edit: Out of the 9 Republican votes only 5 were FOR Biden while NONE of them voted FOR the wannabe Fascist-in-Chief.

Also noted that this is a RURAL area where farming is the major form of employment.

A friend who called me the other day said this is the first time he is voting since 1992. I wanted to scold him for being apathetic but ended up thanking him for joining the effort to rid ourselves of the Orange Menace.

You think "if you don't vote for me you ain't black" is a winning message for your party?

You think "I don't want my kids going to school in a jungle" is a winning message for your party?

You think "you can't go into a 7-11 without having a slight indian accent" is a winning message for your party?

I don't think of Mao. I often think of Jim Jones when I'm looking for someone to compare trump to.

Similar situation for me. I'm not affiliated, but it would be nice to have the option of voting for an actual republican again.

I wouldn’t let the Party off the hook. Granted, Trump’s a joke, but the Party was a joke before Trump.

All I have to do is bring up California and all your failed leadership arguments are out the window. While I may agree with you on his poor leadership, you are not pointing with clean hands. He is still the lesser of evils.

the same percentage of the electorate who supports Trump is about the same percentage of the electorate that voted for Hitler.

    Your point is?

Well, the counter to that is 'grab 'em by the *****' a message?

That's the logic you are offering, and don't give me crap about it being 'locker room talk' as I can find plenty of gaffs and incredibly stupid things Trump has said on national TV.

Fleeting comments, gaffs, etc., are not a 'message' noting all politicians, including Trump, (especially Trump ) make them.

Suppressing the vote as public policy, now THAT is a 'message'.

Both elderly sex offenders say stupid things. Only one party changed public policy without involving voters.
