    Issue by issue, both parties are far to the right of the electorate.



    72% favor "changing to a government-run health care plan." Both parties oppose it and are funded by the healthcare industry.

    60% say the government "should do more." The Washington Consensus" says reduce top marginal tax rates, liberalize trade, privatize government services, and deregulate industry.

    70% favor "increasing government spending on green and renewable energy." Both parties oppose it and are funded by the oil and gas lobbies.

    Quite a few of my Trumper friends are a little shocked at his retrograde environmental policy. It's a really hard sell to say we should be going back to how it was

    Yes that might will be the philosophy under Trump. It's short-sighted though - obviously.
