Yeah, government does a bunch of great stuff with our money. Wish they’d do more though.

Oh okay, so she said that she wouldn’t trust a politician about critical medical issues. That sounds pretty reasonable to me.

“"I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about," she continued in the clip from an exclusive interview airing Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" at 9 a.m. ET. "I will not take his word for it."”

 

It will take more than just a president to move America into socialism. And I doubt that is what Trump wants.

you mean like lying to the people, playing it down, shutting down the economy, blaming the shutdown on Governors, trying to get people to pack the churches, playing it down again, turning people away from masks, and now trying to take credit for the vaccine... what Trump will need to do now is make sure we organize getting the vaccine to the people and getting them to take it... how do you think he will do? can he get that done in the next two months?

My point is that a lot of Republicans and trump supporters talk about socialism as if it is an evil far left concept that will destroy America. As if it must be avoided absolutely and all costs. They threw the word around as an insult.
But they have no problem in embracing policies that are socialist when it suits them.

1) vaccines require a “cold chain” to ensure they do not kill more than they “cure”
2) THIS vaccine require very specific minus temperatures
3) Who will actually be administering the vaccine? The pharmacist? The nurse? The new hire?
4) What infrastructures are available if the recipient has an adverse reaction?
5) who will be receiving the vaccines first? Those most at risk like frontline workers or anyone with the right money?

 

I'd call that straw man thinking, but that would give it more credit than it deserves.

Yes, Democrats are just fuming that people will get free access to a vital medicine. They are just fuming. It is just all they talk about. They are just terrified that it might cost them the election and soften up Americans for universal healthcare. You just have no idea how angry that makes them.

People on the right LOVE free stuff, they just hate it when people they don't consider 'deserving' also get it.

Make sure you never find yourself between a farmer & a big pot of government money - they won't find enough of you to fit in a suitcase. Same with Republicans on Social Security...or most 'Red' states for that matter. If you want a good guide to which bits of America get more government money than they pay in taxes just look at an electoral map by county and find the red bits.

Just remember, the Republican version of 'socialism' isn't getting free stuff, it is when people you don't like get it or people you don't like give it out.
