President Donald Trump supporters protesting the outcome of the 2020 election have a new and surprising opponent: the Republican Party.
A viral video of protesters, as well as posts on social media platform Parler, indicate that Trump supporters are looking to boycott the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections.
A video, shared on Twitter on Saturday, shows a protester speaking into a mic criticizing Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Utah Senator Mitt Romney, who are both Republicans. The protester calls them "traitors."

Wow. What a great idea by the GOP.

They intend to Boycott the GA Senate Runoffs if Trump Loses.

    Hopefully they keep their promise.

And this Boycott isn't just an empty threat.

Once again, I am 100% in Agreement with the GOP Boycott of the GA Runoffs.

    How about you?

I don't know. While I voted for Biden I prefer some checks and balances. I don't want the Senate to go Dem and open the door to radical leftist policies. I prefer a centrist, moderate government with the need for Biden to actually negotiate with the GOP and actually try to implement his project of collaboration and national reconciliation. It would be good for the country. I'm afraid that if the Dems have all three, the WH, the House, and the Senate, they will engage in revenge actions like doing away with the filibuster and packing the Supreme Court and this will only aggravate the huge polarization our nation has been facing.

We are in URGENT need of some peace and some effort to mend the broken relationships. If there is someone who can do it, it is Joe Biden, someone Mitch McConnell used to like a lot and call his friend. I expect Mitch to start by being obstructionist, but then, maybe Joe will be successful in bridging the gap and finding common ground. Sounds like a tall order but sounds better to me than a bunch of radical bills getting signed into law, getting the conservatives to be even more outraged, with a backlash in the mid-terms, and there we go, what one party does, the other undoes, and we remain paralyzed with our country crumbling and losing international leadership.

So actually if the Senate exercises checks and balances, things will need to be negotiated, including the Biden Cabinet. For example, the Senate has already indicated that they won't confirm Bernie Sanders as Secretary of Labor if they keep the Senate and Biden nominates him. I think, that's good. I'm sick and tired of Bernie Sanders and the strident AOC. So, yes, instead, Biden should aim at nominating moderates with whom the GOP Senate can work.

This election was NOT a mandate to go radical left. Much the opposite. The more the progressives yelled out loud, the more the House Dem majority shrunk. The Dems flipped the House in 2018 thanks to MODERATE candidates, not thanks to progressive ones.

The verdict of the people was clear: "We don't want Donald Trump, but we don't want radical leftists either so we're voting for Biden but also for Republican senators and House representatives." This was visible since the Dem primaries (where Sanders lost by 8 million popular votes) and continued in the general elections. Haven't you all noticed how Biden outperformed Democrats running for the Senate and the House in most states (with rare exceptions like Arizona - likely due to local issues like outrage at what was done by Trump against beloved John McCain)?

So, I hope Georgian Republicans don't shoot themselves in the foot, come to sense, and keep the Senate in Republican hands. Having checks and balances is important, especially if God forbid something happens to Joe and we get President Kamala Harris.

This said, I'm getting sick and tired of the GOP too. Most Republican senators except two not acknowledging Biden's victory and enabling Trump's despicable attacks on the fabric of Democracy, is something that is irking me more and more... so, if the GOP screws up and loses control of the Senate, maybe it will be a lesson worth learning.

Trump has essentially been boycotting them already. I think he's just as pissed at the Republicans for not supporting him enough. I'm sure he's pissed at everyone actually. He's going to weaponize his supporters against everyone he feels betrayed him or failed to support him enough for the election he lost.

And the spectacle goes on and on...

If you’re sick and tired of the GOP enabling Trump, then maybe you should give some careful thought to your post.

I think we can agree that we both strongly favor centerist moderate government. One that reaches across the aisle.

For the last four years, Mitch McConnell has been Donald Trump’s enabler. Even to the point where he was repeatedly willing to subvert the separation of powers and the authority of Congress in order to save Trump from his own self inflicted wounds, subvert investigations, and orchestrate an entire infrastructure of big secretive private billionaire and foreign money. Republicans under McConnell shut the government down almost regularly in order to force their agenda (usually in the form of obscure but lucrative tax changes for Wall Street).

If you think keeping McConnell in the Majority Leader’s seat is going to be any different this time, you’re fooling yourself. McConnell was a full fellow traveler in the Trump cabal.

You should draw comfort in the realty that Nancy Pelosi is going to far less brazen that McConnell loves to be. Biden won’t want to use tactics like that, unless there was no other way.

And, you should draw comfort from the fact that compromise is far more likely in a Senate divided by only one vote. It’s very very rare that that vote will ever be used.

On the other hand, if you want GOP Senators to spend the next four years staging noisy “investigations” into Facebook, the alleged plot to undermine the Trump presidency, and 2020 election fraud, by all means, cheer for McConnell’s return to the Speaker’s chair.

As for me, I will tolerate the divide. But I want to be sure that the Republicans don’t set the rules for the incoming Senate, control the committees or set the agenda.

    Exactly.

A 50/50 Democratic Senate won't do anything Draconian, like nuking the filibuster.
(People like Joe Manchin will prevent that).

But at 50/50, they control committees, etc.

    That will work fine.

Well, trump has ignored the senate runoffs because he is too absorbed in trying to re-coup his loss, so his cult will follow his lead.
Please don't try to remind them how utterly stupid it is to throw the senate to the dems just to nurse a grudge.

    The Democrats must be terrorized.

Since 2017, Americans have become somewhat used to being led by criminals.

If Perdue were to lose, the change might be too radical for what the electorate could handle....

Lol...so, maybe he can get them to audit trump's Chinese bank accounts and see if they find any fraud there.
The Chinese don't fool around with crooks, and they'll probably bill Melania for the cost of the bullet.

Yep. A 50/50 Senate means that Dems can pass legislation, appoint judges & a bunch of other normal government stuff, but they can't go wild. There won't be new SCOTUS judges or new states and ther won't be any grand left wing reshaping of America. There will be positive achievements, but within narrow bounds.

Perdue is not going to lose, but Loeffler might lose.

Busted my tail this weekend helping with voter precinct canvasing in 12 different Georgia counties.

The Grayson area of Gwinnett was absolutely impacted by vote manipulation. The same is true with the Tucker and Dunwoody areas of DeKalb.

The worst fraud showed up in Clayton county. According to he final votes in Clayton, Trump only received 15,813 votes.
Based on only half of the county precincts that were checked, Trump received over 20,000 in those precincts alone.
So the 85% total count for Biden in Clayton is a complete farce.

I can say without hesitation that Trump won Georgia by a minimum of 47,000 votes. But probably by a much much higher count.

Trump cheated in Florida where he got more minority vote than expected

if we can just say things are fraud now, no proof needed, guess Trump committed fraud in Florida
