The time is past due when we need to focus on what is ahead of us. The election, and one of the darkest chapters in American history, is over.

"President-elect Joe Biden will reenter the U.S. into the Paris Climate Agreement, the global pact forged five years ago among nearly 200 nations to avoid the worst impacts of climate change."

"Global temperatures have already risen 1.2 C, or 2.2 F, since preindustrial levels, and the atmosphere is on track to warm up by 1.5 C, or 2.7 F, over the next two decades.

Warming at 2 degrees Celsius could trigger an international food crisis in coming years, according to a 2019 report from the U.N.’s scientific panel on climate change. The general consensus among scientists is that the climate targets that countries are attempting to meet under the Paris accord are not sufficient."
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/20/biden-to-rejoin-paris-climate-accord-heres-what-happens-next-.html

Hopefully, it isn't too little too late. All viable efforts to reduce carbon emissions........OR CAPTURE THEM NATURALLY.............https://drawdown.org/............need to be analyzed for their efficacy and implemented immediately if effective. We have no time to waste.

Probably the most important issue facing the world and it barely got a mention during the election.
Has Biden confirmed that he will bring the US back into the Paris Accord? People are making the assumption but do we know for sure?

Couldn't agree more. The saying, "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" comes to mind. Despite progress made by governments and private businesses over the last 10-20 years far more needs to be done. It is not hyperbolic to say Repubs, the only political party on the face of the earth in denial of climate change, are threatening the lives of everyone.......at some point in the future.........on the planet.

    Let the healing begin.

More likely you will simply be on the receiving end of resistance instead of the source of it. Nice try, though.

Being political opposition is one thing. That's expected.

But this bull crap of opposition to Covid health measures has to stop. We've had 1 million new cases in just one week. Hospitalizations
are at a new high point for the pandemic. It's just not fair to health care workers to work them this hard. Common curtesy has to be the rule
of the day - not childish tantrums. Don't want to wear a mask? Social distance.

Watching Trump cut school and skip the G20 conference on the Pandemic is just the epitome of childish behavior. Thousands of people
will die because of a temper tantrum. **** that noise. If Trump doesn't want to do the job anymore, resign and give it to Pence. Just
stop being a dick about it.

    Let the healing begin.

There is no way the Right is going to allow that to happen. It’s their turn to be petulant children. As I’ve said many times...politics is all about tit for tat in the US. With each new administration I sit back and watch the clowns act out like butt hurt children.

The fact that COVID is political at all speaks volumes about how dumb most Americans are.

May you please show me that quote of you condemning those Democrats, including de Blasio and Chuck Schumer, the former taking selfies, the latter both not wearing a mask and not socially distancing at times during those disgusting celebrations?

Also, what is your opinion of Golem defending those who celebrated by saying that them celebrating in such a way during this pandemic was "unavoidable"?

I think actions going against health guidelines are stupid, no matter what side does it. I have no idea who Golem is.

I wear masks and social distance - I'm sorry I'm not Lord God King of all Liberals, so asking me to control them is pure silly-assed crap on your part.

Hopefully he tells the snowbirds in blue states to stay home this winter. I guess someone needs to tell them the obvious. It's OK, Joe will save us all! Fear not!

Isn't Trump still President? Shouldn't he be addressing this health crisis rather than golfing? No? Then he should abdicate and hand it over to
    Pence.

Trump has done everything a president can do.

I love how you think he can snap his fingers and end the virus?

I don't want you to control them, just condemn them, all of them, including the likes of Nancy Pelosi,
    ,
    Bill de Blasio [IMG] ,
    Chuck Schumer
    ,
and Biden who did not hang up the phone when Schumer let Biden listed to the non-socially-distanced crowd scream in celebration for his supposed win.

If you can do that, and do that on a consistent basis, then you can be taken seriously on this subject.

    Wrong question.
What you should be asking yourself is who pays for climate change.

Why is it the wrong question?

Don't we all suffer when the climate changes or do only certain countries?

By 'healing' of course its intended that everyone who opposes de-indutrializing the world for carbon, bending over for china, going on welfare to stop the flu and abolishing the 2A will submit anyway because otherwise we can't 'heal.'

    You mispelled heel.

Yes we all suffer but some suffer more than others.
Those with the most to lose are often the poorer countries who contribute the least to the problem.
Your average Bangladeshi citizen has a carbon footprint a tiny fraction of the average American yet they are at a far higher risk from rising sea levels.
It's the highly industrial wealthy nations that produce the most CO2 and they should pay the most to mitigate the effects.
Until relatively recently the US was responsible for 50% of the worlds CO2 output.

So how much are those other highly industrial wealthy nations paying in relation to us?

I've no idea. Every single one of them is signed up to the Paris Accord though, unlike you.
What will it cost you to pay for damage caused by increased wildfires, more powerful hurricanes and coastal flooding?
