Have a lovely day in Seattle! I do wish you guys well, once you finally wake up and clean all the two-legged TRASH out of your city....
Our homeless have jobs. We need those jobs done. They just can't afford the rent here. We're working on better public transit so people can come in from farther away. And, we're building living quarters at a high rate. But, our high paying industries are growing rapidly and regardless of how fast we build living capacity the supply is not fulfilling the demand enough to affect prices. We're near the top of the list of fastest growing cities in America, we have been at or near the top for years. Also, I really think you need to cool it with calling people trash. The next thing you know there may be people who actually BELILEVE that.
Incorrect, it’s fake news that the left wants to spread out of hate. The reality is he did better with black voters than any republican in recent history despite the irrational claims of racism. Biden is an actual racist with a voting history to prove it. Yet dems voted for him lol
fake news, Trump cheated, Trump did not get more minority votes than we expected if you only count legal votes, we don't have any evidence, but we don't need any according to the right, so we will believe it's true - Trump cheated - lol
Fake news, dems cheated. Trump got more minorities to vote for him than any other republican in history despite irrational attacks on him calling him racist. He outperformed Obama while spending less. This undoubtedly angers you, but that’s your fault, not mine.
Trump increased the debt more in 4 years than any other President in history, including Obama Trump lost, one term President.... lol
Trump spent less than Obama while having better unemployment, better LFPR, inverse reationship created between the two, not as many on assistance, etc. He found he magic wand. Obama was terrible, and Trump showed it haha.
the people fired Trump after one term, Obama they wanted a 3rd term, but Obama could only run two terms
Obama was an affirmative action president. elected not on merit, but his race. Even the fake peace prize haha, Trump actually earned his but hey again obama got everything handed to him for being African American. Trump also got more votes than obama.
Obama got the popular vote both times, Trump was an affirmative action president, Trump only won via the EC which is affirmative action for the smaller States
The logical, and rather obvious answer to that is -- move somewhere else! Is it unimaginable that a person should live where he can AFFORD to live...? People are what they ARE, and people do what people DO. Nobody needs to take my word for anything -- just be observant and LOOK! "Trash" is as "trash" does! I didn't make this up, Will -- it's right there in front of your face if you live in Seattle... or Portland... or San Francisco... etc., etc., etc.
BLM will now be pushed into irrelevancy. The Democratic Party got the chaos it wanted before the election and the stooges with BLM delivered. Now, if I am wrong and BLM is actually given a seat, then we can expect some Marxist bullshit, because that is who BLM is... Marxists. If you don't believe that, you never read their "About Us" page on their website that they took down after people exposed this fact.
Obama was voted for because he was black, a legit affirmative action president that Trump outperformed while spending less. Easily.
Yes - the problem is present in most of the more significant cities in the USA. It's visible in lower population areas, too. Suggesting people "go away" doesn't make sense. First of all, we do need their labor. So, you find pictuures of places where there is no garbage service and then blame that on the people living there. I really question that as an argument. Oklahoma City:
I see NO sign of that happening. BLM began well before the election and they have contributed to the public awareness of a serious systemic problem. Mentioning Marxism DQ's you from any legitimate discussion, by the way. You have to at least make sense in some way.
Actually, you make a valid observation, Will. And if the labor is needed, then adequate wages should be paid! Question: is an adequate number of people working for the prevailing wage in Seattle to get the various jobs and tasks done? If not, then wages need to be increased... and if there are enough people working, then obviously, those individuals are satisfied with the money they are making, or else they'd quit... right? But, all that about how many dollars jobs pay workers is separate from what the price of houses is, or what kind of rent the market in Seattle can command. What rental property owner in his right mind would cut his rental prices, just for the hell of it...? You can bet the City of Seattle doesn't cut his property taxes, his utility bills, or anything else! And if a profit on that rental property is how a property owner makes his living, then it would be insane to charge less in rent than what the market there will support....
AS we are capitalists, the degree to which government can dabble in how much people's contribution is worth is seriously limited. We were an early subscriber to minimum wage being $15/hr, with few exceptions and then increasing that as cost of living increases. However, that's still not enough for living in Seattle these days, as the rapid grwoth in high paying jobs and other various feaures of living here are driving up prices beyond that being enough income. One result is that we need to make it more possible for people to live in the greater surrounding area and still get to job opportunities. When this doesn't work, we have people who are living in their vehicles, in tents, etc., because they want the jobs and are willing to live that way. (Of course, there are reprobates, too - it's a rather complex issue as there is an amazing array of reasons that people are living the way they are living). I have said NOTHING to disagree with your second paragraph. The city direction has been to increase the supply of housing. One hopes that economics will cause prices to subside as growth in supply outdistances demand. That HAS worked to some extent. For a while there, we had rent that wasn't increasing at nation leading rates. As I mentioned, it is a complex problem. We have communities living in tents where the people CAN afford rent!! The catch is, they want to live in a mutually supportive community rather than as individuals spread out across the city, on their own. That mutual support is a serious thing for them. Some have met the requirements for Seattle to pay their fist, last and security to move into low rent housing that they CAN afford (a plan developed in Salt Lake City). But, many REFUSE, because it would mean leaving the support of their community. Of course, everyone wants this problem to go away, so there isn't much support for supplying services such as garbage pickup. So, there are places where the last resort is a garbage pile of their own making. We even have people working great jobs and living in their cars or tents in order to save money for a downpayment on a house! It's amazing how creative and low budget college graduates can be!
It’s not fake news at all. You may not like it but Obama was genuinely an affirmative action president
^^^ Never read the BLM Official Website's "About Us" page. BLM did nothing except cause racial division and endanger law abiding Americans.
You may not like it but Orange was genuinely an affirmative action president - lost the popular vote, only won because of affirmative action for the smaller States
Objectively incorrect, he earned his position and the nominations he recieved. However, from an objective standpoint, even if you decide to dislike this truth, Obama was genuinely an affirmative action president.
Obama won the popular vote, Trump did not, Trump won via affirmative action for the smaller States - that is the truth
