On the other hand, support for the Dems from whites has been steadily rising too. Every major demographic shifted towards Trump from 2016 to 2020, except for whites and white men. White men shifted towards the Dems, as did whites overall, though white women shifted towards Trump.
In retrospect no president has lost an election with such a large enthusiasm gap having gained a losing margin for dems among blacks and Latinos and gained 10 million votes during reelection. We are supposed to believe that Biden was wildly more popular than Obama ever was.
No, we are to believe that people turned out to vote against Trump. Enthusiasm to vote against Trump was very high (as was enthusiasm to vote for him).
