Because Covid is exploding at the same time the measures to limit the damage are expiring; we are about to get in a lot of trouble. Another Great Depression is a distinct possibility.

Even if it doesn't get that bad, digging us out of the mess Republicans left behind may persuade voters that beggar thy neighbor is a piss poor political strategy.

We got Bush because of the SCOTUS. The election was a draw.
We got a Democrat because of the Iraq War.
We got Trump because Obama is black.
    Yes indeed.
    Starting to see the light?

This remains to be seen; Republican opposition, that is. The rest is a tired old trope.
Historically, the opposition party does well in mid-terms. These are new and improved times, though. Trump surrogates are telling Trump voters not to vote. By 2022, only Democrats and independents will be participating. Sounds like a plan to me.

Worse for them... we have Biden AND Harris... It's one thing being ruled by a black man, but the combination of color and sex is enough to scare the pants off of them (In 4 to 8 years)

An alternative thought is that in 2022, Trump will be off living in his own echo bubble and be much much less of a public annoyance, plus people will likely discover the police is still funded and they aren't living in Venezuela and realize they've been lied to for many many years.

Unlikely, but it's as much of a possibility as assuming Congress changes just because it often does...

I think it's pretty clear (to me at least) that the dislike of Hillary Clinton, which led to 5.73% 3rd party vote, most of that coming away from D's is essentially what gave us 4 years of Trumpism

The numbers aren't totally final this year yet, but here's the national vote pct, last 3 elections

    2012
    Romney 47.21%
    Obama 51.06%
    3rd Party 1.73%

    2016
    Trump 46.09%
    Clinton 48.18%
    3rd Party 5.73%

    2020
    Trump 46.89%
    Biden 51.28%
    3rd Party 1.83%

Obviously, you need to extrapolate those numbers to the main battleground states, but you can if needed..

Also, for all you people screaming how Biden got SO many more votes than Obama, notice the 2020 % from 2012 is VERY close... less than 1/4 of 1 pct...

Agreed, but more specifically, Trump was the nominee because Obama was black. Trump began his quest with the birth certificate hoax. It wasn't a coincidence he also won the nomination.

If it weren't for Obama, John Kasich may have been the nominee. And if it weren't for Beau Biden's death, Joe may have been the nominee in '16. Now that would have been an election I would have welcomed with open arms. Hopefully, we will return to center left/right thought and decision making.

Trumps own DOJ found he directed the payments to stormy. He also listed on his disclosures that he was repaying Cohen for them.

Meh.... Obama was still black in 2012 and he won reelection, although not as big as 2008... And he would have beaten Trump in 2016 if eligible.....

But I agree Joe would have been the candidate without Beau and most likely won with Obama numbers similar to 2012...

We aren't returning to ANY decision making if McConnell is still in charge of the Senate after Georgia... He still is pushing this AM that he won't support any COVID package unless he KNOWS Trump will sign it... He STILL doesn't understand his role in government....

I seriously cannot believe you are still having to explain Stormy Daniels 101.... some people just aren't designed to get it...

    In Japan liberty is rare.
In Japan racial diversity is very rare.
In Japan racism is Very common.
The survival rate in this country is better than 99%. You need to get your info elsewhere. Fear didn't work all that well for you short of stealing votes.

The trump cult can all go to hell. They've done enough damage to the party. I hope it isn't permanent.

I think that’s probably true. It certainly would be under normal circumstances.

But on Jan 4, Trump will still be bellowing that he actually won the election. By then, it will be even more pathetic than it is now. (after all, another 30 days of Crazy Uncle Rudy and his pal Sidney isn’t going to change things).

Scamming the faithful is the goal. Trump could care less about the Georgia runoffs.

His only investment in them is the hope that he can jump in front of any GOP victory and take credit for it as he struggles to rebuild his brand.

Every time anyone points out the success that every other industrialized country had in limiting the spread of the virus, there is a Trumpster responding with nonsense like this.

    Your first point is false.

Your second and third are irrelevant.

Your third is probably false too. Regardless, the US is number one in the world in both infections and deaths, including the rates of both.

And you probably voted for more of the same (you certainly did if you voted for Trump).

You think its bad now, just wait until he is out of office and doesn't wield the power of the office. Republicans will drive that bus over him, and put it in reverse to do it again.

The ONLY way the Democrats win any seat in Georgia is with Voter Fraud, but hey... that's what they do.

If that was actually true, we wouldn't be having runoffs, would we?

These people must be closet Democrats calling for people not to vote in an election that holds the balance of power. Or simply downright stupid!

The "Swamp" is those who don't think exactly like Trump.

That's 81 million Americans and their children.

No I'm from Iowa and I will always vote but we still need to stopover fraud so my vote counts.

I voted for Trump bit it means NOTHING since the Democrats cheated. I still believe in voting because to not vote is to give up and I am not a quitter.

The pandemic has not killed 300,000 people and with multiple vaccines there is no indication it will get that high. More fear mongering from the left.

Tucker was right, she's gone off the rails.

This boycott nonsense could very well shave off a winning majority for both races. Boy, the Democrats must be loving this self sabotage, and frankly I don't blame them.

I voted for the one that banned China Travel in spite of objections from Biden and Pelosi. When Japan locks down.....they lock down hard! No reports on how many died of Saki poisoning or Domestic abuse. Think, Tom Fitaz....you would be happy there. You could experience racism first hand!
