    Sure!
If your point was that the Zionist J-Ws started the war to steal land from the palestinians, because of their extreme hatred for Catholic Germans, the very people that opened their borders and welcomed them in arms open, and that US of K were in fact guilty of slaughtering millions of noncombatant innocent men women and children as part of their war strategy then your point it well proven indeed!

Didn't watch the video - but good topic. The argument fails - as it's whole purpose is to apologize for Christian atrocity.

So what if atheists indeed have killed more - even if true, this would not excuse atrocity in the name of the Christian God .. the God of Moses .. or the God of Abraham ... which are 3 separate God's btw :) ... least the former two according to modern theological scholarship . El - Enlil, Elyon being the God of Abraham - according to Encyclopedia Brittannica :) - and YHWH being the God of Moses.

What we are then to name the God of the Christians ? - the "Most HIgh" part of the Trinity ? good question ... but I digress.

Is-Ra-El One who wrestles with the Most High .. and don't forget it ..:angel:

I think there might be more options .. God being good fellow being is one I can think of.

I apologize that I don't have 17+ minutes to watch the video you posted but being a student of History I really don't need to view it.

    Here are my two cents:

    1) It probably is true that theists killed more people than atheists. According to K.S. Lal, an estimated 80 million people were killed during the Muslim conquests and occupation of India alone. When you add up all the others who were killed over the ages I think it's fair to assert that theists killed more people than atheists.

    2) On the other hand, Modern theists have shown themselves capable of killing on a scale that dwarfs that of the theists who preceded them. If I recall correctly, The Black Book of Communism and other sources estimate that somewhere between 85 to 100 million human beings were either executed by theists or perished on account of their ill-conceived collectivist policies during the 20th Century.

    3) As an Agnostic I contend that this debate/argument is pretty pointless. Both theists and atheists have proven that they are capable of mass murder and brutality, so this is just an exercise in pots calling the kettles black.

    NOTE/EDIT:
In Number 2 above, it should read Modern atheists, not Modern theists.

I've known many agnostics who were generally good people. The only atheists I've knowingly encountered have been on internet forums. Some harbor a distinct malice towards religion, and in particular, Christianity. They go out of their way to ferret out and ridicule Christians and Christianity. This to me is what gives Atheism a sinister reputation. One in particular was so relentless in pointing out all the evil done by Christians now and forever, that I resorted to telling him that they were most likely Godless Atheists in Christian garb. Then I drove it home with a rhetorical query, what is so Christ like about Godlessness? Granted my tact was low. But what does one say in the face of all out verbal and spiritual assault? Does a failed marriage condemn marriage? Does a bad Father or Mother relegate all Parents to eternal damnation. It shouldn't. So where does this Atheism that preaches hell fire and damnation to Christians and Christianity fit into the scheme of things? Is it simply a rebuttal as a sanctuary for peace against the more strident and misapplied radical Christian doctrines. Is it revenge...war? Is it having fought too long and hard to make peace. Or is it simply sport born of leisure....I feel like flushing up and knocking down some tasty Christian doves today.

While this response has little to do with your remarks, I would say atheists and even those atheists like Aron Ra who gives the suggestion through his words that ALL theists are a danger to society have one important role to play in society: striking down backward and dangerous ideas like young earth creationism. A free thinker like myself couldn't do that out of reluctance to take away the peace of mind of any theist. The atheist on the other hand has no such reservations and I rely on them to speak on my behalf in defense of science (and hence I used this Youtuber to help lay out the arguments).

The key word there being "knowingly". You won't recognise most atheists as such because it normally doesn't make much difference. Lots of atheists won't even realise they're atheist themselves, and certainly wouldn't label themselves. Most atheists will also be agnostic.

Some people do yes. They're not necessarily atheist though (even if that's what they call themselves) and they certainly don't speak for or represent anyone other than themselves.

So not legitimately then? I mean, that would be exactly like highlighting Islamist political terrorists and saying that would just if theism having a sinister reputation.

Individuals should be treated as individuals, especially the bad ones. By all means challenge and condemn people who unjustly insult, barite or attack the religious - I'll be right there with you - but please don't use that as reason to commit exactly the same offence against the non-religious.

No, "young earth creationism" is not a dangerous idea. Thinking that young earth creationism is a dangerous idea and thinking it's your job to do something about it is an even more dangerous idea.

Good chance that would change if you declared that character to be the ultimate good, and sought to flow their evil ways and commands. That would apply to Darth Vader, Cruela Deville, any storybook villain people hate really.

The comment section on that video was the most braindead wasteland I've ever seen.

forget that, if you want a pure comedy show that will have you in stitches review the dogma produced by atheology! Even in todays modern world atheist theology pales anything you will ever see in the bible.

Ever notice how ridiculous atheists can get when they feel their religion is being attacked and their back is against the wall?

I do not disbelieve in God, your premise and accusation is false on its face.

Difficult question for you, do you believe in a god? Now watch the pretend agnostic tie himself in knots avoiding answering the question. Christmas fun for everyone. Bet we get at least ten answers without the pretend agnostic telling the truth.

Not my problem if YOU cannot recall the content of YOUR own posts.

All you needed to do was READ your OWN posts in THIS thread before asking that asinine question.

    Sad!

yeh atheists are really good at that, in addition to all their other shortcomings.
