Last week, Justin Trudeau announced a $221 million initiative to assist black entrepreneurs and start-ups. There was no similar program announced for other races.

Critics argued that Trudeau's initiative was actually racist and that he was patronizing black Canadians. Sure enough, Trudeau's defenders came out in full force to defend the Prime Minister.

This is the same prime minister who put together his cabinet based on race and gender because "The cabinet should look like the people of Canada" and the same guy who says we need to say "peoplekind" instead of "mankind". This man knows how to win the votes of the woke.

I wouldn't oppose the US doing the same as long as the requirements to get the loan had more boxes to check than "1) Are you Black? [ ] Yes [ ] No."

    How many boxes, exactly?

Would you still be okay if not being Black was a deal-breaker, rather than just a weighted factor?

How about someone who was never descended from slaves, but rather was a child from immigrants who came from Africa only a few decades ago?

I suffer no white guilt from slavery and was born after Jim Crow (though I know blacks who were in the thick of it). I recognize that blacks for whatever reason largely come from challenging circumstances that may limit their potential to get a foot in the door. I would want there to be a box showing need like "Are you Oprah Winfrey? [ ] Yes [ ]" as well. If it is a program targeting blacks, then blacks should be the only one eligible. If it is a program for first nation types then they should be the only ones eligible. If the program were for single parents then married people or people with no children need not apply.

I care less and less. What they don't realize is that they're becoming the new establishment, and soon or later they would be an insurrection against them. Or they don't care.
