    I agree!

Hearing and seeing bad news all day is detrimental to your health! Even if it's on in the background , your subconscious hears all that crap ….

I don't watch the news...I don't need the "score" on Covid, how many died that day....how many records were broken...as if this is just a big football game.

Yes, we know Covid is contagious, Yes, we know we should wear a mask if we have to go out and SANE,DECENT people do...

Yes, we know stupid people won't heed the warnings but ya can't cure stupid...

So we do what we can and the best we can and hope it works out....

I found yoga relaxation exercises easy and they work....always calmer afterwards.....they are free and you don't have to go anywhere to do them..

Me too... Then again, I ignore the fear porn and I don't wear a mask anywhere and I live my life like I always have.

    Yes, good for him.

Why? Working out and treating one's immune system right will do much more good for them than fear mongering and trying to disinfect everything and avoiding as much exposure as possible...

There is no "ensuring safety" when it comes to viruses.

randU Fallacy. Made up numbers are not data.

One cannot spread a disease that they do not have. If one feels sick, then one should stay home rather than go to the gym. They probably wouldn't feel like going to the gym anyway if they felt sick. Also, there are other diseases besides covid, you know... What about "flu-ridden aerosol", or "common cold-ridden aerosol"? Why are you so afraid of covid?

Correct. Masks do not stop viruses. There is no reason to be wearing a mask around like a sheep.

of course... "covid 2.0"... OH NOOO!!!! scary!!!! be very very afraid!!!

No, it isn't. Stop fear mongering and get out and enjoy life again!

I am not touching any mRNA "vaccine" with a 100 foot pole... You also seem to be assuming that the vaccine will work to perfection (100% effective rate). Flu vaccines don't even work all that well, dude... There is no need for vaccination. Just treat your immune system well and give it some light/moderate exposure to viruses and you'll be just fine. No need to fear monger over nothing.

Very few people, if any, wear those around. Those don't stop viruses either, btw.

Covid is not a deadly disease. It typically presents itself as a rather mild flu, if that. The vaccine will likely end up doing more harm to a person than simply contracting the virus would do. Masks do not stop viruses, so there is no reason to wear one around anywhere.

Those masks do not stop viruses either. You and your wife are choosing to live your lives in fear of a virus that typically presents itself as a mild flu.

Another way is to GO VISIT THEM IN PERSON and to actually have interpersonal interactions with people...

We have already been told that vaccines will not be the end of the governmental covid tyranny. This has NOTHING to do with covid itself and EVERYTHING to do with the "great reset" and tyrannical global governmental control over everyone and everything that they do. It is about transferring wealth from the proles to the elites, from ("non-essential") mom and pop shops to ("essential") Walmarts and Amazons, so that the proles become fully dependent upon and subservient to big government and big tech.

You would wear a T-shirt reading "Proud 100% White Man." That would make you a hero to most high income white progressive Democrats. You meet the Democratic not even 1 drop of non-white blood rule required to be white and therefore are one of the "us" of pure white people - rather than one of "them" people of color.

I wear the mask diligently indoor public, but admittedly there is a tremendous lack of discipline in one on one situations. (Not just me, a huge % of people)

I tend to dismiss the extreme opinions on masks/visits on both sides, its nuts.

A good example is one of my frequently visited forums is the cooking section on Reddit, God help some poor lady who wants appetizer suggestions for 9 people over Christmas, people jumped on her **** because 9 people! Pandemic!.

All I said was "jalapeno poppers always go over well" and was downvoted because I didnt jump on the shaming wagon, crazy!

Anyway, live life, that's our only job!

Too many doom & gloomers out there for my taste, they assume anyone trying to live a 90% normal life is a psychopath licking doorknobs vs reality "I got some roto chicken, it was delish"

I feel it's important to learn how to adapt, because even though it's hard at times, I know the end is within sight and we'll be able to put this Pandemic behind us. I'm a big Motorsports fan, Drag racing, Motocross, Drag boats, Hydroplanes, Sprint Cars, Fairs, Car Shows, Love to go out for Dinner and a Movie, Live theater, but haven't been able to enjoy any of that in 2020, But! I find myself taking road trips, Hiking much more, Boating to secluded Islands and instead of Movie Theaters, we go to the Drive In, which I had forgotten how fun they are. I love my work, but I'm working from Home right now, which is OK, but I miss the early get togethers with my co-workers. Anyways! I know were going to get through this and if it means some sacrifices now in order to enjoy them in the Future, I'm ok with it, because this Pandemic is forcing me to find other activities to pass the time.

I work from home and like it. I have no qualms about shopping or getting out so i dont have cabin fever. I've never been a social animal so I'm not missing much. I still have income though not what it was. We barely pay the bills....but they get paid and we still have a savings.

The down side is that COVID has ravaged my income because of the damage done to the economy.

I cant visit my elderly parents. They are truly concerned.

Hopefully we can put this behind us in 2021.

I don't watch any mainstream news networks anymore. They are nothing but censored corporate propaganda of the international super which who own those television stations. You do not hear news. You hear whatever propaganda is most profitable to the richest corporations and people on earth, nothing else.

Won't happen. As much as I'd like for that to happen (I've personally put it behind me since a bit after it began early this year), the globalists will not allow that to happen. They will do anything to usher in the "great reset", and that means keeping the fear porn going... It's already been openly admitted that the "magick vaccine" will not absolve anyone of any of the covid tyranny placed upon them (one will still need to wear masks, social distance, and all the other stupid and tyrannical rules).

One of the goals of the covid tyranny is to shift wealth from the proles (mom and pop shops) to large conglomerates (such as Walmart and Amazon). This tyrannical fear porn will most definitely continue into 2021, and will only get worse as time goes on... UNLESS we collectively stand up against this tyranny, stop voting for CCP controlled Democrats and Republicans (if we can even get our rigged "election" system fixed), and ditch the damn mask and declare ourselves free from covid tyranny.

They are corporate propagandists of the owners of the corporations they work for - the richest international corporations in the history of earth. Everything they say will singularly be motivated by what is most profitable and brings the most power to the corporation they work for.

Look, "dude", your level of misinformation is such that I don't even know why I waste my time. It's not that I'm "afraid" or "fearmongering." I was just trying to help.

But hey, I'll address some of your points. Like I said, people can still work out, just not in a gym. There is no ensuring full safety, but there is decreasing the odds of infection. The 2% number comes out of scientific studies (something you wouldn't understand, so, why bother?). Masks do not stop virus at 100% rate but do decrease the relative risk quite significant (thanks to Brownian Motion, something you wouldn't know about, either), if it's the right kind of masks, worn properly. Yes, one can spread Covid-19 feeling perfectly well, as transmission starts about 2 days before the first symptom. The reason to wear masks is not to be sheep, but to decrease the relative risk (drops to 18% of what it would be without masks - not zero, but it's still a pretty good drop). Covid 2.0 as you put it, the B.1.1.7 strain is 70% more infectious, and brand new evidence suggests that it results in higher viral load. You don't want to touch mRNA vaccines... that's silly because they are a very strong advancement over inactivated, viral vector, attenuated, or protein subunit vaccines. They seem to be more efficacious and less dangerous. "There is no need for vaccination" go say that to measles, polio, rabies, etc. Flu vaccines are NOT relevant to this SARS-CoV-2 vaccine given that these viruses are completely different and these diseases are completely different, and yes, flu vaccines have an average of 40% efficacy. These, though, have an average of 95% efficacy. And those other 5%? They are catching the disease but not dying, and not having serious cases, so the vaccine is either very protective to 95% of people, or at least partially protective to 5%. Yes, sure, give your immune system some light exposure and you'll be just fine... go say that to the 1,782,242 people who have died of Covid-19 so far, around the world (and counting). This is a novel virus and people are not immune to it, and won't become immune like magic unless they get vaccinated, or they develop a case of it, and then if they do, it's unpredictable; 1% die but 10% get maimed, with long-term consequences. Yes, few people wear the masks I recommend, which is why I'm always willing to teach those who want to learn (obviously not your case). Oh, Covid is not a deadly disease? Interesting; in my hospital we see people dying of it every day. The vaccine will do more harm? So far we had 6 cases of anaphylaxis, all 6 recovered with no consequence, among 2,100,000 doses... So zero deaths in 2,100,000 recipients, and zero lasting consequences... while the virus maims 1 in 10 and kills 1 in 100. Care to redo your math? Me and my wife are choosing to live our lives in fear? We are both medical doctors who work every day at the hospital. How is that, living our lives in fear?

Look, I have little patience for people who still think that this is a little flu (especially, after losing 5 colleagues to this virus). Therefore, have a nice life, I won't be addressing you again. Over and out.

If you can, lay off the booze. And caffeine. Concentrate on your relationships, as hard as that can be. Look up some free videos on mindfulness meditation. Exercise (especially resistance training). It's going to suck, but those things help it suck less.

I would propose that the mods treat this sort of irresponsible and dangerous bs as a rules violation, but anybody who would let any board influence them in matters of life and death is beyond help anyway.:machinegun:
