House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Sunday took House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her party to task for being more concerned with a far-left agenda rather than focusing on the needs of the American people.
McCarthy’s fiery speech came after Pelosi was re-elected as House speaker by Democrats, who retain the majority in the House with the slimmest margin in 20 years.

Stopping short of mentioning Democrats by name, McCarthy called out House lawmakers for neglecting their responsibilities over the last two years "during some of the most challenging times for our country."

McCarthy is right on! He laid waste to the democrats and their misuse of power the last two years. They abused the country and were no where to be seen when cities needed support and the economy needed help. The democrats put politics above the people and lost a dozen seats as a result.

 

McCarthy is trying to put Trump over the will of the voters. Sorry, you're gonna need someone less of a hypocrite before I'll take you seriously.

 

Republican lawmakers have become the Trump kiss-ass squad. It's all about Trump - not the country.

 

This is the same McCarthy who in 2016 told, and was recorded a group of fellow GOP congressmen that there were two people he thought were on Putin's payroll, former California congressman Dana Rohrbacher and Donald J. Trump.

 

The only thing he's on is that rancid orange taint.

 

He will be speaker of the House in two years.

Everything he said applies equally well to Republicans. In fact, it fits even better because they bowed down to a criminal just to hold on to political power.

LoL.... right.... after that **** sandwich called a Covid bill that the Republicans signed, it is apparent that the only asses they are kissing are those of the elites... just like the Democrats. What a joke that we have politicians signing bills written by lobbyists.

 

I did not expect and am pleasantly surprised at McCarthy's attitude and success. I'll make a final judgement after he becomes Speaker. Like Boehner and Ryan, when decent conservatives become Speaker they suddenly change their stripes.

 

There is really nothing of substance to rebut. "Republicans good, Democrats bad". After 4 years of unconditional support for the criminal in the White House, and even now continuing to attack the voting process in this country for no other reason than their criminal losing the election, Republicans can't claim any insights into what Americans want. He can speak very clearly about Republicans absurd lust for power at any price.

 

If the right in this country actually does challenge the Electoral College vote, they will make themselves irrelevant for the next 10 years.

The fact that the right cannot get their heads around the fact that the last election was a scathing rebuke of Trumpism, and then they are going to literally try to subvert to free and fair election in favor of Trumpsim. Thats the kiss of death for the republican party IMHO

 

I don't think so. They survived Nixon. When Trump got elected they swiftly started catering to his base and jumped right on board with the populist causes he was pushing. Their gains in the House show that, thanks to Dirty Donnie, it's still chic to be a racist, ignorant, arrogant criminal just as long as you stay out of jail.

 

This is just petty political bantering, if Republicans had the majority, Democrats would be roughly saying the same.

 

Except that McCarthy says the election was stolen. Other than that, sure. But I'm not giving him a pass because of his seditious statements.

 

Nancy Pelosi is so out of touch with what the people need. It would be funny if it weren't so sad!

Her and her fellow democrats are simply clueless! But, Americans will figure that out by 2022 and return the House to the GOP.
