So, you elected in 2016 a lying, corrupt, fact-free, ignoramus, childish, lawless, wannabe fascist who incited violence and tried multiple times to implement a coup d'état when he lost his bid for reelection fair and square, and the consequences are terrible, from the incompetence of a botched pandemic response to the quasi-destruction of American democracy, with scenes today that are typical of Banana Republics and third world dictatorships. One person died today on Capitol Hill, shot in the neck, several got injured, there were two explosive devices that got diffused... our most sacred headquarters of Democracy befouled.

Are you happy now, with what you've accomplished?

And you, Republican senators and Republican House Representatives, spineless sycophants who enabled this lunatic, are you happy with what you've accomplished with your stunt of challenging the very clearly accurate Electoral College votes? You thought it would be cute and advantageous for you to be posturing, and never thought of the consequences, huh?

According to Republican Senator Ben Sasse (one of the few who owns a pair of balls), ALL his colleagues know PERFECTLY WELL that there was no widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election that would have changed the outcome, and that the elections were NOT stolen, but they decided anyway to kowtow to the lame duck petulant child sore loser, terrified of what he might do to them in their primaries, and putting their political aspirations ahead of 243 years of the history of this proud Democratic Republic.

History won't be kind on these sycophants.

Seeing our traditions of peaceful transition of power smeared like this is heartbreaking. Shame on you. Don't call yourselves conservatives. You are anything but.

It's been a pretty glorious four years.

 

I believe het has done irreparable damage to the United States around the world. He has certainly put us in the position where we cannot any longer legitimately preach democracy to other nations. This has shown us how truly fragile it is right here in the USA.

 

The people who incited the violence, including Trump and Gohmert, need to be charged and prosecuted. Trump needs to resign today. This is a disgrace.

 

And another blow to my previous pride of American exceptionalism: I was under the impression that our country was proficient and efficient. We botched a pandemic response... and today, where the hell was the National Guard, DC police, Capitol Police, Homeland Security, etc? After that clown that unfortunately is still the POTUS incited this violence, shouldn't we have had THOUSANDS of law enforcement officers there, protecting the headquarters of our democracy??? With the vice-president elect there (she could have been killed), and all our senators and representatives? And we allow this to happen?

We are actually an incompetent country.

 

Well, thanks to Trump, the US now joins a dozen other crap-hole countries where it's own citizens have stormed their own Capitol Building. Such

Republicans have been clear today that while we support lawful debate, lawful protest, clean fair open transparent elections, free speech and lawful assembly we do not condone the lawless violation of the rights of others, assault or property damage.

We have been on steady decline since 1980 which greatly accelerated under Dirty Donald. Our infrastructure and utilities in most cities need to be modernized and updated all over our country.
