Well here we go again. The Democrats are writing up articles of impeachment and demand Trump be convicted. They now controll the house and the Senate and want to invoke the 25th amendment.

The thing is they have no evidence. Trump told his supporters to march up to the Congress building but he never said to storm it, riot or start violence thus there is no crime.

I repeat Trump did not commit any crime. Can they still impeach and convict him?

This will be all partisan again and will backfire if the Republicans take back the house in 2022. The Democrats set a new low. You can now impeach without evidence.

The Democratic party has lost it due to TDS. This is embarrassing for America.

Well, technically, a president doesn’t need to commit a crime to get impeached. I also don’t think there is enough time to impeach.
Maybe Trump does need to get kicked out, but the only person who can really get it done is Pence.

What an absolute waste of time. Not only do they not have time to complete it before Trump's term expires, they have little to no chance of getting the required votes by the senate.

Just more political theater from the Democrats, instead of helping the American people. What a joke.

I agree. They don't have enough time to impeach Trump. It's all a waste of time.

It's a waste of time, but Lindsey Graham has said it's not off the table.

I think he's pushed too many people, too far.

I don't know, after being threatened by the Trump thugs, a few GOP Senators may have changed their minds. I don't think Susan Collins still thinks he learned his lesson.

This, it's time for Trump to go, what he did yesterday endangered national security.

No matter how you look at it, it is a waste of time. The only reason for doing it would be to prevent him from running in 2024. His chances of winning an election are shot.

Think the point is to get Trump impeached so he can't run in 2024 like he and others has indicated.

Before yesterday's event's, there would have been no way - but between the infamous phone call to the Republican SoS in Georgia and
the riot, There is an outside possibility that the Dems in the Senate could get 5 or 6 Republicans to convict for Impeachment just
to make sure Trump never runs again.

That made me laugh out loud.

For a "law and order" president Trump touts he is, he really doesn't seem to understand the law very well.

I'm not sure sure. Taken in toto; it adds up to a lot.

Inviting them in. He'll join them in the march. (Encouring mass crowds.)
It will be a wild day! (meaning?)

I'm not going point-by-point, but, there's a lot of meat there. It certainly seems like many of the senators believed it, based on how they backed down so quickly. Loeffler said she couldn't, in good conscience, continue to object. She was cheering for it while on stage with Trump.

It's hard to pretend he doesn't get people riled up to the point that they are angry. LOCK HER UP!

Trump can still do damage in 2 weeks. Removing him would help Americans. The guy is a lunatic and listens to fringe media. What he might do tomorrow is unpredictable, dangerous and scary.

    I don’t think it’s necessary.
I voted for Trump in November, but after the never ending election fraud mantra which lead to yesterday’s events, if it’s Trump vs Harris in 2024 I’ll vote for Tulsi Gabbard.

Frankly I would have preferred Tulsi this year. She is by far the most sane one out of everyone that ran for President this season. The only part that I vehemently disagreed with her on was the gun issue. But I could have lived with it considering how SCOTUS is right now.

I does not require a law degree to determine that you have to prove intent and that would border on impossible.

That's just it. A mobster never outright threatens you, right?

He's been harassing governors and secretaries of states for weeks. He's been telling proud boys to stand by.

In toto, as I said, there's meat there.

It's not going to happen; but, no serious person can look at the sum of it's parts and not come to the conclusion that he didn't know what he was doing.

Ok, you keep believing the FBI can't come up with proof. There's more than enough evidence from his tweets alone, never mind the eyewitness testimony from his own cabinet officials who have left and the ones resigning now.

There are two separate events under consideration.. The first was encouraging congress to throw out individual state votes. That is neither illegal or unconstitutional.

The second event was breaking into the capital building. I have seen nothing where he told anyone to break into the capital building.

Trump of course can (and should) be impeached, even after he is out of office. And of course if the Republicans had any honor, they could and would expedite the Impeachment process. Trump could be removed by early next week.
