Trump concedes the Election

I agree that #4 won't happen. I also believe #2 won't happen. Pence doesn't have it in him.

If #1, Trump resigns, do you think Pence will pardon him? That won't help for the charges on the state level, but they could for any Federal charges.

 

The only message most on the right heard was "I'm not Donald Trump," on the rare occasions when Biden rose from the depths of the basement. That was the major piece of his platform. He has hypocritically called himself a "unity" leader, when all he has done is to continually bash Trump in order to show himself "the better".

His "Orange Man Bad" speech yesterday was disgusting. He has the bully pulpit now to truly unite or continue to divide. Not even in office yet, it appears we are starting out with partisan rhetoric "Well, look how bad Trump is," rather than consoling a nation divided. That is not leadership.

Don't get me wrong. Trump completely mishandled the protest rally this week, but Biden is not helping make things one bit better. I don't suspect he will. Hate and anger is more motivating to voters than peace and love. It also enriches the corrupted corporate media. Hate and anger requires an enemy of the people, either real or constructed by constant rhetoric and propaganda.

 

Would you pointing me to which Biden speech you are referring to? I didn't see that one.

I agree wholeheartedly about the media. The bloodlust is revolting.

 

Don't know what Pence will do. A pardon is doubtful. That would just anger people left-of-center and I think Pence is capable of taking the high road more than any other top-level leader right now in considering the feelings of all Americans and the need for calm. Whatever he does, I'll think it will be an attempt to pour water on the national fire. He won't try to put it out with more wood and a blow torch like everyone else in Washington seems to be doing.

Trump has technically not committed any federal crimes, but if we want the incoming DOJ to spend taxpayer money to absolutely crucify a man in order to satisfy the public's blood lust (which was created by the media and elite politicos), then so we shall.

Endless investigations and crucifixions. No meaningful legislation for the people. A bunch of tax money going to figuratively kill someone else's political reputation. That's our current state of government. Banana Republic.

 

I was at work yesterday and had this on as "background noise" so I didn't hear every word, but Biden set the theme in the first few minutes. Most people agree that the very few people who caused all the riotous damage are criminal insurgents, but what the majority of people on the right will hear is Biden painting everyone on the right with a broad brush. Then he just rants about "Orange Man Bad"....deserves to be burned at the stake.....blah, blah, blah.

He had the option to use an infinite number of messages. A forward-looking, positive, unifying message would have been a good thing. That didn't happen.

 

I agree that he didn't concede the election. He never will. As to taxes paid, I suggest that your beef is with the tax laws, not the people and companies that follow them.

 

I quoted it to say that Trump also has financial interests in China, and at least in one occasion, his action doesn't pass the smell test, and is highly suspicious for a backroom deal with Xi. Can it be proven? Absolutely not. But it stinks. So, if people feel free to throw innuendo at Biden about links to China, they should realize that Trump does have those, as well.
