Thank you President Trump for not participating in, an and lending dignity to, an event that officially kicks off the beginning of a one party government in America.

Thank you , Dirty Donnie, for kicking off one party government due to your incompetence, arrogance, bigotry and criminal behavior.

We couldn't have done it without you !

The argument is that Mike "Judas" Pence had the authority to have the State Legislature resolve the legitimacy of State electors.

This election has demonstrated the literal validity of the phrase, "Under the Table."

Pence had no authority over state legislatures. He’s not disloyal because he understands the constitution and trump doesn’t. Trump had 2 months to prove these claims in court and he failed repeatedly

actually the election demonstrated how easy millions can be conned by one unhinged narcissistic dictator want to be - regardless of how many lies have been debunked including by many Republicans

You won't ever accept that you have been conned - my sympathies

I guess in your mind Brutus committed a noble act by stabbing Caesar. But if you know history and/or saw the miniseries Rome, consider how he ended up.

What actions did Trump take that that make you define him as a dictator?

Our false two party dichotomy demonstrate that most of the country is conned.

I said dictator want to be. Threatening/pressuring Senators/congresspeople/state legislatures/governors and attacking Pence who was following the law are the acts of someone who wants to be a dictator

He had no such authority. Trump told him to violate the constitution. Pence refused. Patriot.

For a party that supposedly love the constitution, they certainly don't know what's in it.

Pence had no authority to change the vote.

Where in the constitution does Pence have this power. And no, Trump's tweets don't count.

Because the maga cult values loyalty to one man over country.

You would think they would have learned how dangerous this is from history lessons but I don’t believe education has ever been high on their list of priorities.

They wanted Pence to install Trump as a dictator. I find it ironic that Trumpers are throwing Pence under the bus when for months they were telling us that Trump could declare martial law and have states re-do elections. Why didn't Trump do this instead of relying on other people?

Like we didn't see that coming four years ago... fearing what smouldering country he was going leave behind.
He could have told us then, it would have saved us the needless suspense.

And they've already been abandoned by their dear leader. Unfortunately, for them, he has already thrown them under the bus. No promises to pay for their bail or legal fees this time!

The claim is that the Twelve Amendment provides the authority. Obviously a complex legal question that many Constitutional lawyers would disagree on. But IMHO there is certainly a basis for Pence to demonstrate loyalty if he had the cajones to do so and then let the decision be sorted out by SCOTUS.

One thing Rush Limbaugh has pointed out for years is the Republican Party is comfortable in the loser role. Sadly this is demonstrated by Pence and the other Republican cucks.

I admire the way Democrats and libs pursue their agenda in a ruthless way. To bad the Republicans can't do likewise. But they are now finished as a party of any national consequence.

We need a viable 3rd party in the US.

Whoever made that claim lied to you, just like trump did when he said it was stolen. How many court cases does he have to lose before you catch on???

Sometimes there is a fine line between metaphor and reality.

I expected Old Yeller to exercise the 12th Amendment claim and let Scotus sort it out.

Traditions were thrown out the window when Democrats started the impeachment process the day Trump stepped foot in office.

What do you say when 1/3 of Congress didn’t attend Trumps inauguration?

And considering Biden called Trimp a racist and insane, a Russian spy, responsible for everyone dying of Covid, ect, why should he even acknowledge his existence? Stand there listening to Biden go on blaming him for everything, lie about racism and lie some more. Trump should slink away as soon as he can. Better for all of us.

You are conflating a theoretical 12th Amendment cases with unrelated actual legal cases.

Can you cite an actual ruling demonstrating the the VP cannot reject electors based on the 12 Amendment?
